Guest guest
Louise, Remission from stage 4 cancer is not that uncommon. If you are in the San Diego area I have one coming in for a " tune-up " this week. Just let me know and I'll arrange a meeting. There are others who just show up from time to time to use the facilities and say Hi. There are probably many others on the Cancercured list. There are almost always many ways to successfully fight a terminal cancer. The cost of therapy has little to do with the effectiveness. All money can do is give you more options, but no one can guarantee perfect results. If you go into a financial hole in paying for a month or two of therapy, then what? I think that you can find/negotiate a useful therapy that is completely within your budget. The costs of most therapies have everything to do with what the market will bear and virtually nothing to do with production costs. Guest guest
Louise - please consider the role of emotional health in cancer if you haven't already. Have you looked into EFT? It made a huge difference for me. www.emofree.com lots of videos on www.youtube.com and search for EFT. Guest guest
Vince: I am new to this board but join everybody else in wishing you a speedy, whole recovery. It appears you have given so much to help others. my request is if the individual you are referring to might share his/her experiences with us for inspiration or allow you to post the treatment highlights anonymously? Guest guest
Thank you , if I was in your area, I'd definately go into your clinic. I live in BC. I may delay treatment for another week as I gather money together. Your note makes me feel squeezed less financially as I tend to think, higher price, better prognosis. Guest guest
Louise, the only treatment I've had is holistic. and it works. I'll tell you why. For 15 years years I had known I had prostate cancer but back then I was in no pain. my psa was sitting around the 3 to 4 mark. Then in 2007 my doctor talked me into having a prostate biopsy. From then on I had a pain in my penis, by 2008 my psa went up to 13.8 and an ultrasound found my prostate was half way in side my bladder. I also had pain in my ribs and my back. A bone scan found it was the start of prostate bone metastasis. I was told I could not go on ADT hormone treatment as I have a heart condition and the ADT would kill me faster then the cancer would. Then I was finally told by my doctors they were out of opinions, and I had may be five years. But that was a good while ago. I ended up seeing a naturopath who put me on an immune building ant- cancer diet, the one Im on now. I'm free of pain, my prostrate is almost back to normal, a bone scan a year after the first one showed the bones were clear of cancer, and it all because of an holistic anti-cancer diet Im on. My naturopath told me was we produce a few cancer cells from the moment we are conceived to the moment we die. but the 101 functions of our immune system kills off these few cancer cells. now having cancer is just a balance maintained by our imune system but this balance is changed when our immune system gets weak and at the same time we have high energy foods like sugars that feed cancer cell so they can grow this tips the balance the cancer cell way so they can grow into tumors. I like to tell you about how enzymes help fight cancer and also how antioxidants help fight cancer, as they part of our cancer fighting immune system. but I think I'll leave it there. All I can say is holistic treatments helped me, so I say go for it God bless, Ray Has anyone on this list put themselves into remission with stage 4 cancer? Or has anyone on this list physically seen anyone put into remission who had stage 4 cancer?.....
Guest guest
Louise, My naturopath told similar stories of patients who had cancer, went on a relaxing, enjoyable vacation and came back much better. Interesting. > > Has anyone on this list put themselves into remission with stage 4 cancer? Guest guest
There are documented stories of unexplained remissions that are causing some physicians and researchers to reconsider heroic treatment for cancer without first considering 'watchful waiting' and not just for Prostate cancers. One of the problems with just going on a vacation is 'relaxing' knowing that cancer might be raging in one's body. Then again, vacations usually do make us feel better. What constitutes " 3 good meals a day " ? I wouldn't shunt aside having 'good thoughts' or 'relaxing' and never shove 'eating better' aside. For the person with stage IV cancer, they had better take a more determined course, do a lot of research and work with someone that knows what works and what doesn't. It is the exception when people can take extended tours though a wonderful idea. I have driven cross-country twice and finding good eats in some places is quite a challenge. I could easily enjoy a cruise throughout the Mediterranean. Joe C. Guest guest
Could you please provide the contact information for the clinic that you are involved with in San Diego? A friend of a friend in San Diego has a little boy with Neuroblastoma. They have tried many conventional treatments and that has kept him alive for much longer than expected, but they are interested in exploring alternatives as the conventional treatments do not seem to offer a " cure " . They could use some help navigating the options. Thanks! Patti from San Diego. > > > > > >Has anyone on this list put themselves into remission with stage 4 > >cancer? Guest guest
Patti, Dr. Munoz and the San Diego Clinic in Tijuana don't treat children. They say it is too heartwrenching. There are options for slowing neuroblastoma, but I have never seen it cured. Guest guest
Hi Wayne, I eat eggs, veggies, cheese, very little fruit, almost zero sugar, some sprouted wheat bread. I'm not religious about diet as it is too stressful but I do eat healthy. I should add I eat chicken, very little red meat, some fish, very little pastas or rices, some millet & steel cut oats, almond milk (I make it it from organic almonds), miso. Almost all the food I eat is certified organic, free range, etc. I experiment with spices and try and make my veggies more brassicus than anything else.
