Guest guest
Thank you to both Robin and Holly for your kind, thoughtful responses. I have heard of the Gerson Clinic but I am afraid my ex husband is too ill to move. Do you know, or so other people on this list know people in the end stages of the disease who have had success w the Gerson protocol? I spoke with a doctor in Chicago who told me that doctors can only practice at the hospitals they are affiliated with and if I wanted to use the services of another doctor I would have to move my ex husband to their hospital! (What ever happened to house calls?) Another person told me doctors are required by law to follow set protocols and are legally bound to advise their patients to stay within those parameters. Needless to say, the system is rigid and not conducive to health. I will look on the websitee you suggested, Holly. Thank you again for your leads and kind words., Sheila

Guest guest
I understand your position, however isn't he al ready in trouble. Measure the risk after analyzing your alternatives. Only you know what the real situation is, i.e., if doctors have been informing you accordantly. Another question has your husband undergone chemical intervention (chemo)? Guest guest
Dear Friends, I'm very sad to say my ex-husband passed away. Thanks Robin, Holly, Abraham, and , for writing. Even though there was nothing that could be done in time (even if the medical system had allowed any changes to their protocol, which they would/could not) this is a learning experience: i.e. that you have to make your choices early on, because the medical industry resembles the meat industry in that once you enter one chute, it is near impossible to jump the fence. Unfortunately my ex-husband had faith in his doctors who believed in their own strict regimen. I especially appreciate seeing on this list people who have gone to China and elsewhere for treatment. I would like to know if anyone has gone to Cuba. Thank you again for your kindness and thoughtful responses. I am touched. I wish you all the best. A friend did send me a referral for a holistic MD in the Chicago area, which I will post later. Sincerely, Sheila On Sun, Jan 3, 2010 at 8:28 AM, wrote: > Whats the situation? i.e., how bad is he? > > Abraham > > > " hudsonhemingway " <ilovewbai@...> wrote: > > > > PS I should add that my ex-husband is in a Chicago hospital, in case > anyone can recommend a practitioner in that area. Guest guest
Sheila Me and my wife, really sorry about your lost, and fully comprehend your feelings. Back in 1992 my uncle died of cancer he used unsuccessful medical treatments. In 1992 my father died of cancer he also used medical treatment and again in 1992 my grandmother died of the same thing. In 1995 my daughter then 11 years old received the worst of cancer (liver), she was given a 6-month prognosis. However my wife and I woke up. We embarked our self in an exploration that produced success. Finally myself in 1998 was diagnosis with prostate cancer. I got rid of it very easily and quickly. We since then have eliminated the word remenition for cure. The story is longer however my wife and I prefer to speak to people who suffer cancer about the details personally or by phone. Everyone can get cure, however once there is chemo involved the battle is uphill. Today we are involved helping people from what could be the mayor source that causes cancer toxic air waste. We are selling scientifically researched sterilizers, and particle capture systems to the industry for a price, and to people whom experience cancer treatments at much lower price. We carry units that are widely used for individuals who are ostomized. We also donate to people who cannot buy them based on the company criterion and availability. A little about my self, I have a BA in Pysch, studies Environmental Management, Mycology, Microbiology, and Biological and chemical Antiterrorism. Currently I am working on acquiring my Doctorate Degree. I am 58 years of age and vegetarian, worked more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry providing clean room accessories and filtration systems. I was consulted in the first space shuttle project. In 2004 stemming form the medical controversy on the cost of insurance premiums in Puerto Rico I did research and came out with both positive and negative results. In 2006 I did another research on alternative medicine, this provoked calls and threats because not every was really right with naturopathy as administered in Puerto Rico. However I concluded my study and since them have been able to provide help for some people who have followed simple guideline. The cure of cancer or any disease is not complicated, we complicate it, keep alternative treatment steady and simple, research pervasively and the cure will happen. God Bless you, your family, and eternal peace to your husband. Guest guest
I know there are a few - Block up in ton does a lot with cancer.  Dr. Reynes is in River Forest - he's our PCP. We like that he is knowledgeable about pharmaceutical solutions, but also keeps up with more holistic approaches. We're currently working with him on my husband's Osteoporosis, using vitamins, minerals and physical therapy to build bone. It's too early to tell about success, but the start is good and we're feeling optimistic that we can do some bone building here. Dr. Boehm is a holistic dentist with offices in Hoffman Estates and Wheaton - though he may be closing Wheaton and focusing on the other location. He bought the practice from Dr. Rothchild, who has relocated to Pagosa Springs, CO if anyone is interested. I'm sure there are more. I know there's somebody in Oak Park who does IV chelation therapy. A good place to ask questions might be Larrabee Herbs on North Avenue in Elmwood Park. The three owners are all very knowledgeable. It's the best health food store I've ever encountered, and they might know more resources. Also pick up the various papers they have at the front door (Whole Foods also has some of these) and look through the issues carefully. Sometimes, there are listings of various " alternative " practitioners...  " Don’t bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.
