Guest guest
My daughter (3yrs old) has had this intestinal infection since October 2007. We went on a mild antiobiotic to get rid of it then, didn't work. We then went on vancomycin for almost 2 months thinking we got rid of the infection. It's back again. The doctors want to put her on the vancomycin again because it worked for awhile on her. A little history on our daughter. She was diagnosed with Pontine Glioma in April 2007, we are during a combination of chemo and supplements (including probiotics) for her treatment for her tumor. Is there any treatment out there that will cure C-Diff. It's making her not want to eat anything because her tummy hurts. She hasn't eaten well in the past 3 weeks. Are there any alternative treatments out there? I read somewhere about a dr in Canada that does fecal transplants. Anyone ever hear of that? C-Diff is a scary thing to have, according to all the internet readings I've done. But to have it when you are 3 must be terrifying. Please any advice would be appreciated.
