Guest guest
Hello, everyone, I want to tell you about my experience on Sunday morning. Well, Sat. afternoon, my husband and I had some pinto beans and cornbread. I was okay until about 11:00 p.m. when I noticed the beginnings of what I thought may be a GB attack. Last week or the week before I did my 14th or 15th GB cleanse and everything went fine. I was up all night long in extreme pain. I took 3 hot baths and that helped some, had the heating pad on the bed either on my liver/GB area or my back because it was killing my back too. I was like this all night long, trying everything. I drank some ES, had a couple of bowel movements, but nothing helped and it wouldn't let up. After being extremely tired and hurting, we decided that I should go to a hospital. I knew that I didn't want to go to the hospital that I went to in Dec. of 2000 because of the crapy doctors. So in another small town near us and which is actually closer, I went there and they were absolutely wonderful. I even told the ER doctor about the GB cleanses. He said this, even though I couldn't believe what I was hearing, quote, Yes, I've heard of the cleanses and I've heard that they help. I've never proven it or tested it, but it's been since 2000 that you've been doing them, you must be doing something right, so I would continue doing them, unquote. Can you believe that? He said that he had heard about them. Oh, he also said for me to keep my GB as long as I can. He said, quote, As long as the cleanses work, keep doing them, unquote. Well, he was more concerned about my sodium level, which was very low. Of course, I told him about the ES, that I drank and that could be doing it, but he wants me to be checked out again. My pain is about gone now. I'm at home resting and taking Lortab and Phenegran, but otherwise I'm okay. I could have possibly had a virus. I did throw up before going to the ER. It's been a learning experience for me. I must admit these ER people were a world apart from the doctors at the other hospital that were extremely rude to me, making fun of me because of my diet and saying that I could eat healthy for a thousand years and that wouldn't help my GB problem, that I had to have my GB out. This ER doctor, the nice one that I saw Sunday, he said that some people who have their GBs out have more problems after that. You just never know whether they're going to have problems or not. All in all, I either had a virus and it was just hurting in that area or I had a GB attack. Either way, I'm better. I thought that I would share this with everyone. As soon as I'm better, I'm going to prepare for another cleanse. Take care, Susie

I'm taking them because I'm still sore and sometimes cramping a little. The more that I think about it, the more that I believe it's a virus. I know that if you have a weakened area and you get a virus, then it can affect that area more. Only time will tell. Thanks for your concern. Guest guest
Susie, Is your pain gone? I hope you are feeling all better. Two weeks ago I started having what I thought was GB pain. My right shoulderblade area was hurting me very badly with a strong dull ache. Over 2 or 3 days the pain persisted and spread to my right shoulder, neck and arm. It felt like I had sprained my shoulderblade area. Ibuprofen did not help. Nothing really helped except time. It hurt more to lay down on it than it did to sit or stand. I tried ES and Lecithin but it didn't help. I finally decided it wasn't my GB when I ate some fatty foods and it didn't get any worse. I found out later that several people at my work had had a similar flu-like virus. The pain went away as suddenly and mysteriously as it started. So there may be something going around that you caught too. I live in Tidewater VA. Being on this list, I automatically asssumed it was my GB because the pain was on my right side near my GB. I guess I have GB on the brain! LOL! Hi /Susie: I've heard there's a virus going around that builds water around the heart and that some folks have died from it. But i'm still waiting for more conformation on it before I spred this far and wide. Walt Susie, Is your pain gone? I hope you are feeling all better. It really goes to show that not all doctors are so closed minded as to think they have all the answers from the AMA's veiwpoint. I'm just glad to hear you are doing better and really hope it wasn't a stone that caused your stint with this problem. I have been having to deal with a potential colon problem since Tuesday of last week after eating the day before at a resturant with a salad bar. I've had what may be an inflamation much like what I've delt with as IBS. It reacts much the same but it doesn't matter whether I'm avoiding dairy products or not, it's just plain uncomfortable at times. Hang in there and let us know how things progress.
