Hi, I am new and have a friend who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. As far

as I know it is very small, so I am guessing it is stage one. But, the only

options the Drs gave her were chemo.

She did a little research and found a Dr who is willing to thy a more natural

approach. She has been following his suggestion for about a year and at one

point things looked better, but the last ct scan showed the spots a little

enlarged. She will be getting a pet scan soon to see what that says.

She is doing research on her on and I am also trying to see what is available as

a natural approach to dealing with lung cancer.

Does anyone have any suggests on where to start looking? Has anyone on here had

luck with natural cures for lung cancer?

She is doing a lot with the immune system, eating raw veggies, and doing a lot

of juicing. Lots of supplements. Not sure what they are as she is doing a lot.

My Mother also has ovarian cancer, and hers was advanced and she is doing the

chemo. I would like to get her interested in supplements and building the immune

system, but she is not big on doing much more than what the Drs recommend. But,

occasionally I pass on any info I get that I think she might be open to trying

Are there any basics that everyone starts with when diagnosed with cancer? Where

are the best sources of info?

Thanks, Susie

Susie,

I know, it is a ton of info. There are a lot of alternative cancer treatments.

You should be able to narrow things down by stage and then type of cancer. You

will probably wind up with less than a handful of options by the time you're

finished and then will need to make a decision about those. Look out for

Oleander Soup and also the Budwig Protocol in your research. They can be used

together and are both good for lung cancer. But I'm sure there are other things

as well.

Good Luck!

> Alan, I think if you want to increase her chance of coming through

this you need to pay equal attention to some other important

substances. Obsession with the one item cancer cure can kill through

vast oversight. For instance are you giving her high doses of

magnesium chloride and iodine? Magnesium and iodine and even sodium

bicarbonate are not options any more than air and water are. I hope

you can understand my point here.

Look at the information under " Cancer Treatment' on www.vitaminD3world.com

It has the data on lung cancer, those with a high vitamin D level had a 70% five

year survival vis 30% with low vitamin D. Their definition of high was, I think

only about 28ng/ml which is still far from optimal. Optimal is greater than

50ng/ml . So tell you friend to get their vitamin D levels checked and get the

level up asap. There are studies running in Canada now using as much as 40,000IU

per day in cancer patients.

Thanks for the note on D. I am on D now because my levels are low and when

I saw the info on Lung Cancer on the D3 site I sent them to my neighbor, who

went to the health food store right away to see what they had and what their

thoughts were. Our health food store is really helpful in the cancer area

as the Lady who owns it had cancer and her husband had cancer, so she is

really up to date on things.
