yes I did. it was 66 within a reference band of 57-172 ng/ml. I believe it

doesn't tell you much out of context

Yes, perhaps it is best considered in comparison to IGFBP-3, the binding

protein, as a ratio of IGFBP-3 to IGF-1. High levels of IGFBP-3 are

considered good, since it binds to IGF-1 making it less available to

cancer cells.

pathway, a stimulator of cell growth and proliferation, and a potent

inhibitor of programmed cell death. " From Wikipedia.

The old and cheap diabetes drug Metformin has been shown to effectively

decrease IGF-1 while at the same time elevate levels of the binding

protein, IGFBP-3. Metformin also acts on insulin and blood sugar levels

and some clinical trials have shown survival benefit to patients using

it.
