Guest guest
I did my fifth flush a couple of weeks ago and 12 hours after ingesting the juice and oil, I threw most of it up. Even my miraculous Digestive Tonic didn't help. This is the first time I have had this happen, though I had varying degrees of nausea with the first four flushes. I think it happened because the olive oil I used had been sitting around too long and was possibly rancid. I'm not sure if Sunflower oil is the best oil to use. Perhaps you threw up because you used that instead of olive oil. I did the flush a little different than other people have done. I fasted on vegetable juice instead and only did 1/2 cup of oil. Also, I used sunflower oil instead of olive. I had some discomfort in my chest on the right side off and while I ingested the oil and then about 6am I got the most horrible nausea. I actually did throw up several times but there was nothing in my tummy to throw up. Anyway, I just went a little while ago and there were easily a hundred green stones in there. I am actually suprised it worked. Did anyone else experience such severe nausea? How about the stomache aches? My stomache feels totally weak and hurting. I definitely feel wiped out and well...pretty awful. Do I start to feel better after a few days or should I start feeling better today? That was quite an experience. I don't know how people do that more than once? Or is it mostly the first time that is bad? Anyway, thanks for all the info.
Guest guest
o I start to feel better after a few days or should I start feeling better today? Hello, , I too am getting ready for a cleanse this week. It's been almost a year since I've done a cleanse. I have never tried it your way, sorry. I know that preparation is extremely important. Like when Dr. Cabot says drink 1 quart of organic apple juice a day for 5 days, this is important. That organic apple juice breaks the stones down and the chaft. Then when I drink my olive oil/grapefruit mixture, I also have my husband press in some fresh ginger root and about 1/4 cup of organic apple juice in with the mix. I've never had a problem yet with this and am hoping that it's still the same. Also, I have my husband put about 2 drops of peppermint oil, which is extremely potent so you can't have much at all. It's important not to have much. Peppermint oil (which is expensive) helps fight nausea and so does the ginger root. It's known that peppermint oil also breaks down stones, but you still must be careful with it. I always use olive oil. Good olive oil is a high prize, to me. Especially because of its symbolism in the Bible. So that's what I do. I'll let you know how it goes. Susie
Guest guest
...Did you do the Epsom Salts? So important in keeping the ducts relaxed so stones move more easily and you don't have as much nausea. I always have nausea with the flush, but it is not so unbearable that I won't do it again...the only time that happened was when I, too, didn't follow the directions and tried to " do my own thing " :-) That was some years back. I do feel wiped out the next morning, but strengthen as the day goes on. The next day I'm a little out of sorts, but able to do my usual things. Get better and better every day. Take it easy on your diet over the next few weeks. If you are into going to chiropractors, go, I always do that within a couple days of doing a flush. Be glad you passed all those stones! That's great. I'm still doing much better than I was after almost a month since doing my flush, but think it would be a good idea to do one again in the spring. I was at the point where I was uncomfortable after every meal, not so now, thankfully. Take care, L. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the info. I didn't do epsom salts because I have been nervous about putting things into my body that I don't know anything about. Especially after getting new medicines every time I go to the doctor. The doctors have told me that they don't know what's wrong with me so they say, " Here try this. " It is getting rather old being treated like a Guinea Pig. Anyway, when you say apple juice for 5 days do you mean only apple juice or can you eat other things with it? I have a hard enough time fasting for two days. I have been feeling pretty weak lately and have dropped some weight. I love using my juicer and get fresh apple juice that way. It takes awhile but it sure it worth it! I'm sure I will probably need to do the flush again as I doubt that they were all flushed out this once. It should be interesting to see if anything shows up on the ultra sound tomorrow. Thanks for all your info on this site, I have been actively reading the posts every day trying to get information to make a better decision about what to do with my health. > ...Did you do the Epsom Salts? Guest guest
Dear , Your discomfort and limited success of your liver flush is most likely due to the inadequate preparatory period (6 days on apple juice, to soften the stones, an effect of malic acid) as well as not cleansing the colon both before and after the liver flush. Any colon congestion before the liver flush can lead to backflushing of waste and regurgitation of bile into the stomach (making you sick), and stones getting trapped in the colon during the liver flush can cause high toxicity throuhgout the body, thus depleting energy and possible lead to infection. Unfortunately, there are lot of recipes out there that don't provide the complete procedure and potentially cause great harm. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I recommend that you sign up for a session of colonic irrigation to clear out any trapped stones, which will make you feel much better, and then use the proper procedure for liver cleansing as described in my bestselling book The Amazing Liver Cleanse http://www.1stbooks.com . There should be no major discomfort when all directions are followed properly. I hope this will be helpful to you, With kind regards, s Moritz ======================================================= s Moritz 75 West Point Ave Tonka Bay, MN 55331 USA Tel: 952-470-9741 or 9887 Fax: 952-470 9889 E-mail: andmor@... Guest guest
, I can completely relate to what you have gone through with medications...that is the very thing that turned me around to using herbs and alternatives to drugs, I just don't handle them well. I would say that not using the Epsom Salts is what made this more difficult for you. All they do is make your bowel movements very loose so that you clean out before doing the flush, and relax the bile ducts...magnesium is very relaxing to muscle tissue, and Epsom Salts is Magnesium ...... I used apple juice for 5 days with beet powder mixed in in my earlier flushes, but only a couple days this last time. I got a great cleanse this last time, but did notice that the stones were a bit harder than they are when I drink the apple juice ahead of time. Apples contain Malic Acid (and perhaps other things) that tend to increase the flow of bile so...so it keeps the liver pumping bile through the gallbladder and that helps soften the stones. You don't have to fast at all, just after 2 pm on the day you flush....otherwise eat a normal diet. Let us know what you see in your ultrasound...don't be surprised if there are some stones, that does happen, but hopefully you'll be clean :-) L. Guest guest
Dear , I did my first flush a few weeks ago. I have severe chemical and food sensitivities, so I was pretty scared to take the Epsom Salts. I don't cope with drugs very well at all. However, when I finally did it, I did not have any allergic reaction to it at all. Then I made the mistake of vitamising the olive-oil and lemon juice. It was revolting. I had very bad nausea and heartburn all nght. I did not get much sleep and had to prop myself up on pillows to avoid vomiting. However, in the morning I passed over 50 stones. It was worth it. I just did a second flush last week. I only passed a few small stones, but I am determined to continue as I have been sick for a long time. My husband also did the flushes and had some large stones come out on the second flush. He is looking and feeling a lot better than he has in years! He has color in his face and has a lot more energy. His stamina has improved already. I would suggest that you do all the preparation you can. Eat a good low fat diet with lots of raw fruit and vegies. Try not to eat animal products. Drink the fresh apple juice for the 6 days prior to the next flush. It sounds like you might be pretty toxic, so you may need to do several flushes before you notice improvement. Wishing you well, Rosemary. ----- Original Message ----- From: serricat <serricat@...> gallstones Sent: Monday, February 17, 2003 10:23 AM Subject: Well I did it I finally did the flush last night and boy did I have a rough night. Guest guest
Thanks for the response, I think that just knowing other people have been there and know how I feel helps. I do believe that my body is very toxic and I am committed to getting healthy. I would not wish this pain and fear on anyone but I do have to admit that it has been a blessing in some ways: I have learned how to cook, I have become interested in nutrition and have learned that doctors are not Gods nor are they evil. It's been very rewarding to cook for myself. I get to make tasty meals and am comfortable knowing what's in my food. Dr. Cabot's book, " The Liver Cleansing Diet " has been invaluable to me and I am very grateful to have learned about it from this web site. I have learned to use my doctor as a resource and ask her to help me come up with a plan. It has been very beneficial as she is no longer completely responsible for my health and I am no longer helpless. Anyway, thanks again for the response, I really needed the words of encouragement right now. > Dear , > I did my first flush a few weeks ago. I used to have awful allergies, but I just brushed it off to the area where I live thinking it was ragweed or something like that. However, when I started Dr. Cabot's 8-week plan a couple of years ago, I guess it was, it was exactly on the 3rd day that I woke up one morning and felt clear-headed, no runny nose at all. I'm sure some of it was getting off sugar-free cold drinks too. But a lot of it was starting her eating plan. Now I don't have allergy problems. I also know that doing these cleanses helps get rid of the toxins. Susie
