Having worked for a heating oil distributor, kerosene is nasty & fumy. I don't know that any of these choices are particularly good for anybody w/ephesema but have read up on pellet wood stoves. Guess you have to determine best choice by which puts out the least air pollution and/or how good you can exhaust the pollution. An electric heat pump is probably the best, but expensive. Good Luck.... Lola ps.. mankind has been breathing air from wood fires for eons and we are still here..lol. > Can anyone here tell me what the cleanest heating source would be. I don't want gas, I'm afraid of it so it would have to be kerosene, wood or pellet, which of the three would make for the cleanest air in your home. > > My husband has emphysema, & ?COPD, we're wanting to do away with the wood stove that we have thinking that a new wood stove might be cleaner but I wanted to check here first. > > We've checked on a pellet stove too. > > Barbara > > >
