Guest guest
There is no soda that is actually diet that I can think of. On another note the coloring in colas such as Pepsi and Coca Cola is said to be carcinogenic. There was a study that Dr. Mercola's site has mentioned that the coloring is highly toxic to the human body. You do not hear anything about that in the media. Buyer beware. I stay away from all sodas and drink green tea instead. To your health and recovery, Al ________________________________ From: " Sh0shanna@... Can Drinking Diet Soda Help Me Lose Weight? The average 12-ounce can of cola delivers 150 calories, almost all of them from sugar.....No study to date has ever shown diet soda to be especially useful in helping people prevent or shed unwanted pounds. In fact, there is a growing body of research that seems to suggest that high diet soda consumption is associated with a higher risk of obesity and may surprisingly carry an even greater risk of obesity than drinking regular, full-calorie and -sugar drinks. Guest guest
Yeah, we also didn't hear in the media that just one .... ONE ... regular soda per week can increase chance of pancreatic cancer by as much as 50%!!!! WHAT???? Yup, I read that not too long ago. Sure glad I couldn't care less about soda! xxoo
Guest guest
The soda industry considers this study flawed: " .One example, he says, are the small numbers of pancreatic cancer cases. He points out that of the 140 cases, 110 of those people did not drink sodas, while 12 had less than two servings a week, and 18 had two or more servings a week. " [ " two or more " averaging five] This does not make the study flawed, but I think the risk is overemphasized. I do think there should be a study comparing the effects of fructose vs sucrose and of chromium levels vs pancreatic cancer. Fructose-rich corn syrup that sweetens modern sodas depletes chromium, a mineral commonly used as a supplement to help bring down sugar levels. The soda barons have their agenda: they'd love to replace every mother's teat with a cola fountain. The anti-soda terrorists would love to storm the palaces of these barons, hold them down and waterboard them with colas. Now that even diet cola has been shown to be problematic, I'm going to the lab and develop an imitation diet-cola-like product. I'm just afraid some crook out there is going to imitate my imitation. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of melizzard11 Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2011 6:43 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Finally an honest article!
