The oncologist said that the rest is probably scar tissue, and there is a good chance that he is completely cancer free! He still has 3 more chemotherapy sessions left, and then starts radiation, but to hear such good news so early in the game is so promising. All this hard work has finally gotten us somewhere! YAY!!! Guest guest
, Its great to hear Logan got some correction with his last fiberglass cast. Did you say he was free for a couple of weeks before the next cast is applied? Is the reason for this break his skin? (try calendula cream, if there is no open wounds) Have you mentioned Dr. Mehtas early treatment casting method to your doc? I'm confident that your docs theory is working, I am just trying to avoid Logan being really uncomfortable with an arm and leg casted, if it didnt have to be that way. If I am not mistaken, your doc does the casting with his hands and no casting frame? Just so you know, the specialized casting frame used in SLC allows docs/cast techs to acheive great correction/derotation without including limbs. Was the 18 degree Cobb measurement taken with or without the cast on? Best wishes and congrats on that low number! Guest guest
We are going to do another cast on the 21st for a couple months to try and correct it further and then after that we will be going to the brace. > Great news for Logan and you!!!!! Guest guest
THe 18 Deg COBB was after they removed the cast. In the cast his spine was straight. THis next cast will not have the arm and leg. THe reason he had it in the other cast was because he wanted to try and correct it realy fast since we are moving soon. He wanted to get it under control before he turned us over to the Shriners in SLC. He refuses to to POP becuse of the sanitary factor and he was saying he can " do just as good of job correcting as POP but cleaner. " but I did talk to him about the way the casts look similar to tank tops instead of like a haulter top. he said that is a good idea but might be a little uncomfortable for him. He is going to put one shoulder in to put a little pressure similar to the way he used his arm and leg as leverage before. So it will be like a one armed tank top. The reason for the two weeks in between was my choice. He said the longest he would goin between casts is two weeks so I took advantage of that. I wanted Logn to have a little rest from the casting. After the cast was off is when I saw how bad his skin was. Mostly because the way his cast was he could poop up into it and as I was digging up there to clean I guess I was pushing some up there too. > , > Its great to hear Logan got some correction with his last fiberglass cast. > Did you say he was free for a couple of weeks before the next cast is > applied? Guest guest
, I am sure you both are enjoying his freedom. No worries on the tank top style POP jackets/casts...I'm sure most parents will agree that they are not as bad as they may initially seem. The straps are loose and not pressing on to the body. Honestly, try that caledula cream if you can find it...Its really great stuff. Sincerely, HRH Great News!!! >> >> >> > Logan got his cast off yesterday and it, again, is taking a lot of >> > adjustments. Guest guest
Great news Jen!!!! Ali GREAT NEWS!!! My daughter Molly is coming home this weekend!!! Her father is moving to No. Carolina to start his treatment (cost of living is less and he is going on disability). She went there for a year because I really just needed a break, and I was so worried that my ex and his wife were going to take my baby girl 3,000 miles away. I am so thrilled to death, she has a lot of mental health issues, but something in my household was missing with her gone... Just wanted to share Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. 6:34 __________________________________________________

I had to go in this a.m. for lab work, hopefully that will all turn out ok. Ali <aligator@...> wrote: Great news Jen!!!! Ali GREAT NEWS!!! My daughter Molly is coming home this weekend!!!
