Guest guest
My husband has an inoperable small bowel obstruction. He has been sent home and is on morphine. Has anyone ever been able to treat their small bowel obstruction at home? Has anyone treated their small bowel at home with coffee enemas? I know this is not a good situation that we are in but if anyone has any suggestions on what might help, please let me know. Guest guest
Is the obstruction cancer? I have an ileostomy, my small bowel can become obstructed easily. When this happens I have to force fluids, clear water or electrolyte solutions to which I add pure ascorbic acid powder. The ascorbic acid powder or vitamin C in powdered form, you can also use sodium ascorbate powder should be in the 6-10 gram range or higher which will cause diahrreaa for most folks. The vitamin C in very high dose will also kill bacteria which must be building up in his system. A coffee enema would be good, since I assume he has a colon still. When they say inoperable did they elaborate on why? Dr. > > My husband has an inoperable small bowel obstruction. He has been sent home and is on morphine. Guest guest
Thank you They are saying the obstruction is from tumor. Did a CT scan and say cancer although they are not able to point an arrow to the tumor. He is not a surgical candidate because he is too sick with metastatic disease. However, he is up on his feet trying to walk it out. Yes, he does has his colon. He has a colostomy and a urostomy. Thank you for your input. Is the obstruction cancer?
