Guest guest
Hi all I was hoping someone could help me out with this one. So here in general is my dilemma. I am 59 in good health except cancer. I was (diagnosed) Dx in Dec 2006 with stage 4 prostate cancer (pca) gleason 9 at 80% of prostate being cancerous. I have bone mets on several spinal vertebrae, collarbone, stereos, hip bones, and others. Very aggressive PSA = 9.5 I was put on androgen deprivation therapy (adt) on jan 2007. I failed adt on feb 2008 with a psa of 17. I started Prostesol and other supplements and herbs in feb 2008. The Prostesol started to fail in Oct 2009 with a PSA of 100. Normal PSA is <4. A PSA of 100 is very bad. My Psa was 165 and I went onto chemo (Taxotere) and ADT. I started these on Nov 2008. We all know where chemo leads us and that is a permanent location underground. When I was first Dx in dec 2006 I was given two years to live. The term was ' with a status of your disease most men with your cancer type will be dead within 2 years ..... '. I feel lucky to have beaten it by at least a year as I should have been dead by Dec 2008. If I didn't go on Prostesol and supplements I probably would have been dead by 2008. So I have failed adt and I failed prostesol and I am on chemo in an attempt to stay alive. Chemo should give me another year or two. But I plan on being around for a long time. Thanks in advance.
