Guest guest
Allan Steingart, an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto who also has a busy clinical practice, said that SSRIs are endocrine disruptors, and they can alter estrogen levels. Side effects include changes in breast cancer density, lactation in women When I planned to start my 90 day cleanse several weeks ago, I discovered in the 7 Day Detox Diet that SSRI'S interfere in liver detoxification. Since a healthy liver is so crucial in detoxifiying toxins, and especially excess estrogen in estrogen-dependent disorders (i.e. breast cancer) then the SSRI'S are NOT a good thing. I love being on Zoloft---the first anti-depressant I have ever been on (I once tried it for six days years ago and immediately went off it). I am not a depressed type person and am taking this only for a panic disorder related to almost dying three months ago. I have actually never felt so good emotionally in my life. I am calmer, more relaxed. But Zoloft IS a drug and now I don't know.
