Guest guest
Wishing I could figure out a way to do the enemas comfortably again as I know their value all too well having done them about 15 years when attempting to cure the candida back then. They relieve tremendous amounts of pain & draw toxins from all parts of the body, which can be felt being drained down. I've tried every position in the past few years, all are too painful or the liquid doesn't stay in long enough to help a thing. And what a mess to clean up if on the floor with towels all over the place. Too much painful work afterwards. Another problem I've been having is I don't know what happened to my sphincter muscle but it got very weak somehow. No matter how much I try to tighten it to hold in the liquid, I can't anymore. But that doesn't matter because I can't find a painless position to do them anymore anyway. Got any suggestions or alternatives? A friend said to drink scads of water & take strong laxatives. I don't think that's such a good idea tho so I haven't done it. So far little or no constipation tho which is good. Guest guest
Hi Caroline I know what you mean about the mess and the work to clean it up. personally I find things get less messier over time. I can tell you what i do and it may help. First there's the mental preparation. I know its only going to take one hour of my day, so I am mentally prepared to do this hour. I usually plan a special treat afterwards, like a reward for doing hard work. (NOTE: this is not a food treat, but doing something I enjoy immensely like going out to buy a book, or some clothes or to a beach to watch the sunset, or to a friend's for a massage and chinese tea etc...I think you get the idea I am not sure which part of the procedure you're finding physically painful. It is the insertion? the lying down? For insertion, lots of coconut oil and fairly thin tube? For lying down I use a thick yoga mat (its plastic and very easy to wipe off at the end). Perhaps using smaller amounts of liquid may help. I find doing a water enema beforehand helps me " hold " the coffee enema better. Irene P.S. do not have laxatives! they can really cause havoc. Guest guest
No, my problem is severe spinal/back pain, arthritis & scleroderma disabilities so that I cannot get into position to do any inserting at all anymore, like on all fours or on my back with feet up or even sitting on the toilet. Even if I lie on my side it squirts out as fast as it's going in which is the super messy part & then on the way to the toilet it goes all over the place. Even when I tried just water first...same thing. It isn't painful to insert the tube at all tho. I just cannot physically do it for myself anymore. Another person would have to help me. And that isn't going to happen. I used to do them twice a day at times years ago but did them every day so I used to be very adept at it. Tho that was when I was far less physically disabled. So I know what it's like to be able to successfully at doing them & how well they work. I had no problem then. Didn't have to talk myself into doing it or give myself rewards afterwards either. I just went in & did it & that was that. I never take laxatives, haven't for years. So that's not a problem for me. I'm not constipated either so wouldn't be needing an enema for that. Only to help detox the liver somewhat & help get rid of die-off symptoms. So I don't have to even think about laxatives right now & hope I never do again. So far, so good on that score anyway. Guest guest
Hmmm...that is tricky Do you have colonics centres where you live? They are usually staffed by nurses (here in Australia anyway). That may be an option, though I remember having to be in a sitting position slightly reclining (that may be an issue for your back). Or getting a nurse to visit you at home once a month or so and assist you with it. I'm gall bladder " free " too. (I wish I could have it back:-) but, I joke and say I gave up my gall bladder in exchange for a new life!) Anyway, I've done many coffee enemas and they've always helped me... some less than others. It's good to cleanse the bowels with water first, then follow it up with the (organic) coffee enema. Guest guest
I did one (or actually two) today. It went well. The second one was a bit harder, but massaging my tummy helped. I was quite relaxed and felt good afterwards. I was a bit dizzy, but lying on the floor for half an hour in two turns and standing up to go to the toilet can have caused that. a Dear Faith, Yes, you can do a coffee enema and any other enemas recommended when you do not have a gall bladder. Guest guest
Bee, I've searched the archives and not found the answer to this one.. I did my third sesson of coffee enemas yesterday morning (they seemed too stimilating for me in the evening, then I tried afternoon and now morning.) Everything went fine with the water and then the first one, then the second one never expelled. There has been lots of activity in there and maybe less pain in my stomach, I also feel somewhat agitated. It's been 24 hours now. I'm continueing the Vit C and supllements as well as soft warm food in the diet. So is it pretty normal to absorb the coffee liquid? I also notice a reaccuring headache pain on the right side of my eye/temple area while doing them that passes. laura

I also notice a reaccuring > headache pain on the right side of my eye/temple area while doing them that passes. ==>, it isn't common for enemas to not expell, but I wouldn't be concerned about it. The coffee does not go into your system like drinking it does. Your agitation and headache pain are being caused by the detoxifying effects of the enemas, not by the coffee itself. ==>This is from the coffee enema article: The effects of having a coffee enema are not the same as drinking coffee. The veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue. The caffeine is therefore absorbed more quickly (and in higher concentration) than it is in when coffee is drunk. Additionally, coffee has a chemical makeup that is stimulative. The enzymes in coffee, known as palmitates, help the liver carry away the toxins in bile acid. The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein (in the anus), and then it is taken up to the liver by the portal vein. With the bile ducts dilated, bile carries toxins away to the gastro- intestinal tract. Simultaneously, peristaltic activity (movement of the bowel) is encouraged because of the flooding of the lower colon. Thus, when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are carried out of the body. The caffeine from the coffee is absorbed into this circulatory system and goes directly to the liver where it acts as a very strong detoxifier. It decongests the liver, and causes it to dump its toxins. It causes the liver to produce more bile (which contains processed toxins) and stimulates the gall bladder to dump its contents which flows directly into the small intestine for elimination. This frees up the liver, enabling it to process toxins more efficiently, particularly candida toxins and those caused by killing off candida. The coffee only goes to the liver, and does not circulate throughout the body so it does not act like drinking caffeine would. Caffeine also stimulates an enzyme used by the liver to make its detoxification pathways run. This enzyme is used to form glutathione (an amino acid), which is one of the main components that enable toxins to be eliminated via the bile into the small intestine. Therefore a coffee enema speeds up detoxification and minimizes the backlog of detoxified substances. Bee
Guest guest
> > then the second one never expelled. Hi - I thought I might add, perhaps the coffee didn't flow in for that second one. I know when I started doing the enemas, that happened to me. It was difficult to tell, and to get the bag to work properly, etc. Sometimes I thought I was taking it in, only to realize the hose was bent, etc. It could be tricky. It will get easier eventually. I am just starting to feel comfortable and confident doing them after about 10 weeks (1 per week). Jeanne
Guest guest
I have read that just one cup of coffee albeit, taken orally will kill 75% off all of the body's probiotiocs so can it not kill them in lower intestine as well? I don't believe that. If that were true all coffee drinkers would have candida overgrowth, and coffee all by itself would cause candida, but it doesn't. Guest guest
Hi Maddalena, I'm sorry you're feeling so badly. Just to clarify, is the only issue with the coffee you used that it was NOT organic? I only ask because it might help Bee to answer you better. Your symptoms do sound to me like a strong die-off reaction or toxin dump. jackie > > Hi Bee, > > On the weekend I made the biggest mistake I could possibly make on this diet. When I did coffee enemas 20 years ago I used regular coffee, not organic, and it worked out fine. The only instructions I had at the time was to use caffeinated coffee. So, yes, use up the coffee but you might dilute it with more water. It may have been too strong. Love, Bee

Guest guest
Hi Maddalena, I just want to be clear, is the coffee you have Espresso Roast or espresso grind? The reason I ask is that you can grind any kind of coffee beans to an " espresso grind, " which is a very finely ground texture used in an espresso machine. " Espresso Roast " coffee is a very darkly roasted coffee bean that is then finely ground. In the long run it might not make any difference to the enema but it would be helpful to be clear about the kind of coffee you have. jackie > > ==>Maddalena, what kind of coffee did you buy? > > Bee > > When I showed it to my friend she said it's expresso coffee grind. > > Maddalena > > > > >

It was just very overpowering for your body to deal with, creating more detoxifying symptoms. It takes about 3 - 5 days for your body to re-adjust. Ensure you are doing everything you can to help detoxification. See the article " How to Detoxify Effectively " which is in the C) Candida Symptoms, Help For " Folder. > > Have a wonderful day. Guest guest
Before using the coffee give yourself a plain water enema and expell it. This helps with the retention of the second - coffee enema. Make sure the temperature is 36 o C or 97 o F paul _
