How to stop Renal Cell Carcinoma? ,? Anyone?

Hi and All Members,

I hope you will offer some answers for me. I don't post often but I read many of

the messages.

About five or six years ago, my sister was diagnosed with renal cell

carcinoma and doctors removed her kidney along with a tumor and said they " got

it all. "

Now they say the same cancer is back, in the lymph nodes in several places in

her body but not in her brain.

Doctors recommended the drug, Sutent, which is $5,000.00 a month!!

My sister's insurance only offers that amount for a full year's worth

of prescriptions so she would be able to pay for only one month's supply

of Sutent. Besides that, this medication doesn't eliminate the cancer,

it only - supposedly - stops it from getting worse. So, she [or anyone]

would have to take it the rest of their life evidently. What a good deal

for Pfizer Corp.

My sister and her family have only an average income and are hoping to

find other ways to stop this renal cell carcinoma from spreading any further.

She has been told that it's very slow growing.

Please let me know, if possible, of any ideas that may help my sister to

stop this cancer from growing any further. If there are things she could

do herself at home, that would be wonderful as their funds are limited.
