Guest guest
ultra sound tests are not accurate. they will only pick up stones that are sufficently calcified. many stones are soft and won't show up on ultra sound. i had both ultra sound and mri and neither showed stones present. i have since passed thousands of stones. also, colonoscopy tests are not accurate
Guest guest
Well, the Doc is now sending me to Nuclear Medicine to have a Bilary (not sure if that's the spelling) done. They stick in a IV with medicines to expand and contrat my gb, and do 2 different sessions of photos to see if my gallbladder is performing right. He said that all of my symptoms are of gallbladder and that there may be 'sludge' present. He said that ultra sounds were not accurate.... --- In gallstones , " aluckower " <aluckower@n...> wrote: > ultra sound tests are not accurate. they will only pick up stones that are > sufficently calcified. many stones are soft and won't show up on ultra > sound. > > i had both ultra sound and mri and neither showed stones present. i have > since passed thousands of stones. > > also, colonoscopy tests are not accurate

Personally, if I had a doctor tell me that, I wouldn't go through all the extra tests. I'd be happy that all they were seeing were seeing was sludge, and do the flush. Why have all that medicine pumped into you and help them pay for all that fancy hospital equipment...sorry to be cynical but I don't know what they learn by doing that that helps you all that much. Take care, and sorry you are going through trouble with you GB. L. Guest guest
The doc mentioned 'sludge'. He said that nothing could be seen on the ultrasound and wants me to do the next test to see if the gb is functioning properly. This test he says also shows more that the ultrasound does. I have free medical thanks to the military, so, if they want to do tests, they can do tests. It gets me out of work for the day :-) I amy go ahead with the flush since it is all natural and won't hurt anything just to see what happens.... > > Well, the Doc is now sending me to Nuclear Medicine to have a Bilary > > (not sure if that's the spelling) done.
