Guest guest
Simple answer to your first question would be that: Alternative medicine is what was practiced in the US and most of the world before the Rockefellers and Fishbein of the AMA came on the scene about 1924. Conventional medicine is what followed after the pharmaceutical industry, aided and prompted by the above folks, took over medicine in the USA and much of the world. The first General Secretary (read boss) of the AMA, , may have been a Homeopathic physician. The record is somewhat confusing in that the Canadian Medical Association says that became an MD at Rush Medical College and practiced medicine in Nebraska. Other sources say that took a " rush " medical course at Rush College about 1920, being a homeopathic physician prior to that time. resigned in 1924, at which time Fishbein, who never actually practiced medicine in his life, became the new head of the AMA, reigning supreme until about 1948, when the membership of the AMA forced him out. Fishbein ruled medicine in the US, and with his many books, set the state for what has become " Conventional Medicine " in much of the western world. Note that Germany allows and has licensed many medical electronic therapeutic devices which may never see the light of day in the US because of the FDA. -Dave www.dfe.net On 11/12/2009 10:37:01 AM, tonyainsworth@...
