I thought I read somewhere the other day that vit c and alpha lapoic acid are a

bad thing to take if you have cancer.  What do you people think?

Thanks,

Robyn

I believe in vitamins and supplements (especially B complex, C and D and co-q

10, Chinese mushrooms like reishi mushrooms and astralugus - a Chinese herb) and

a primarily whole food vegetarian diet primarily green leafy vegetables and

other non-starchy vegetables. ibelieve in getting rid of refined sugar and

processed foods and saturated fat. I think this and stress reduction and focus

on positive energy and happiness will boost one's immue system and energy and

let your body fight the cancer.

Robyn dont know where you heard that I know from the resurch ive done  it can

enhance the toxic effects of vitamin C on tumors. Alpha Lipoic Acid, is a super

anti-free radical agent, and is supplemented by Vitamin C it also helps  to

battle past skin damage as it defends against future damage Ray

I think vit. C is beneficial for the vast majority of people w/cancer.

My notes on (alpha) lipoic acid (ALA):

precursor of glutathione; detoxes liver; inhibits cancer cell growth; diminishes

side effects of and perhaps synergistic w/vincristine in carcinoma and sarcoma;

interferes w/some chemos; “taking…ALA while you have mercury [fillings] in

your mouth is the worst of allâ€; interferes w/paw paw, Poly-MVA, and FSO/CC

“ALA…reduces oxidative stress…stabilize NFkB…stimulate pro-oxidant

apoptosic activity…discourage the proliferation of malignant cells†Burton
