Greetings,

I have a question, are Kamut and Spelt considered wheat? I only do

sourdough breads, so the phytaze [enzyme inhibitor] is removed. Or do I

have to do them sprouted as well?

I don't see melons listed, are they good or not? I only eat the organic

ones I grow. Oriental melons, Europeon melons and American melons, no

watermelons. They are too sweet.

Also, eggplant, cucumbers and peppers? My summer staples fresh from the

garden. I assume they are okay?

Is pink sea salt considered table salt?

I live and work on a farm in Texas, I normally use bananas and potassium

chloride mixed with sea salt to handle the heat. Gatorade is toxic

stuff that I don't use, but the heat is a killer. Any suggestions? I

do manual labor in the heat all summer.

I remember the writings of Herbert Shelton, an old-time Naturopath that was

way ahead of his times re fasting and Hygienic living.

One thing that has always stuck in my mind was: Eat melon alone or leave

it alone. His claim? It took upwards of four hours to digest whereas most

fruits digest within 1/2 hour. He believed that when we combine certain

food, they do not get digested properly and ferment. When fermented

(rotten) it simply added more toxins to the normal amount we have to

eliminate thereby causing problems. Check into his books. They are more

thorough about food than anything I have ever read.

Shelton was a big fan of Food Combining which is as rigid as anything can be

re eating. For example, absolutely no starches with protein and he

preferred protein in the form of nuts. Fruits with fruits and no protein

unless it was citrus fruit. His books were thorough and informative and his

writings seem to make sense. Have I followed them? Don't ask. However

I did fast at his ranch back in the mid 50s and saw some marvelous healings

but not cancer. Shelton did not believe fasting was a useful tool in

fasting. His definition of fasting was strictly pure water (distilled) and

yes, I know about the supposed dangers but understand, this was more than 60

years ago and nothing stays the same does it? I do still fast and caused my

kids to fast when ever a fever showed up.

Im a 59 year old guy  I had anorexia when I was a kid .  with a dominating

neurotic mother,  it was the only form of control I had, So  I know what your

going though.  I dont believe fasting works when we have cancer,  as the

cancer will put out single to our brain to make us seek out  high energy

foods.

I also think losing weight in the mind.  my wife bought this book on Joe

who lost 100kilos with out dieting.  I read it because it look at the power of

the mind  http://www.gabrielmethod.com.au/ I still think the best way to fight

cancer is to not fight our cancer at all.   I feel cancer a condition of the

body not a disease of the body.  I have prostrate cancer bone mets in my lower

back and ribs.  I should be dead by now but Im find more then find . all because

I listened to my naturopath who put me on a diet and vitamins I could buy from

any supermarket. she told me cancer when our body out of balance out of tune it

take a long while to get cancer it takes a long while to to get it under control

it took me a year to do this but I wasn't a patient all my life like you were

but when I started doing this I still found it very hard to do this my self .

all I can say it gets easy as it gos on longer all the best  Ray

Greetings,

Thank you for your kind words. I truly believe that my cancer was

caused by stress. The diet and supplements will cure it, but it will

take some time and it will take a mental shift. It is wonderful to hear

of other people beating the cancer.
