Guest guest
My father who has been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic ca has started to have lot of 'acidic' burps. Also appetite is poor, inspite of taking milk thistle. In the past milk thistle has helped with appetite. Any suggestions for what to do for the burps and improve appetite? We're planning to use a GB-4000 machine in the next few days as our primary treatment. Thanks, Sheetal
Guest guest
My primary recommended the old fashion remedy of a teaspoonful of baking soda in a glass of water for my stomach acidity and it does help and also is said to aid in alkinizing the body in general, (per my primary care person). I also find relief with use of a tablespoonful of Bragg's apple cider vinegar once in morning and once at night. My own appetite was poor when I was experiencing asceites, but is improved now that my overall condition has improved. Best to eat nutition-dense foods and eat small amounts more frequently if little can be eaten. If there's asceites, parasentesis to remove as much fluid as possible provides a lot of relief especially with appetite. Consider use of undenatured whey protein powder too. According to Life Extension Foundation and my primary care provider, this has some anti-cancer properties, as well as helping maintain nutrional status. All the best to your dad.
