Bottom line, I think fruit's quite cancer-healing, just limit yourself to a

moderate amount each morning, and only a tiny bit if it's fruit that's high in

sugar. When eating acidic fruit, 1st eat some sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts,

pine or Brazil nuts to slow the absorption of the sugar.

The sugar in fruit's not necessarily any worse than the starch in other foods.

It IS essential to avoid blood sugar spikes, especially w/fast-growing cancers.

Thus I would

(1) avoid eating a huge amount of carbs at any 1 meal and (2) avoid eating a

large amount of high glycemic food BY ITSELF ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. A small amount

of high-glycemic food is fine, and if you eat protein or fat 1st, subsequently

eating high-glycemic food isn't an issue per se.

Besides junk food, the high-glycemic foods to avoid consuming in large amounts

on empty stomach are (in order of glycemic index beginning w/the highest

glycemic index): beer, dates, white/red potato, nonsprouted wheat, millet,

couscous, corn products, white rice, muesli, mango. However, dates, millet,

brown rice, and apricots are cancer-healing, and I would make it a point to eat

them, just not in large amounts on empty stomach (dates are exceptionally

high-glycemic, so never eat more than the tiniest amount on empty stomach).

Melon has a low glycemic LOAD, making it safe to eat in small-to-medium amounts

on an empty stomach.

Also, avoid all sweet juice that's not fresh-squeezed. And when juicing, I

wouldn't juice more than about 8oz of juice at a time.

" Many cancerous tumors have a high affinity for sugar and this corresponds with

their virulence...If a tumor is indolent or low grade then there is little

attraction for sugar or anything else. The attempt to poison such a tumor by

using IPT as a targeting strategy shows little understanding of...IPT....Low

grade tumors are almost benign and very difficult to eradicate, but because of

their genetic instability they can turn aggressive. Sometimes the smart move is

to avoid any type of chemo against a low grade tumor as chemo starts the clock

such that the tumor will turn aggressive much more quickly. This has been

especially noted with conventional chemotherapy for indolent non-Hodgkin's

lymphoma " , 1/5/11

" Diet doesn't make that much of a difference with very slow growing tumors "

I think the best fruits for people healing from cancer are:

(low-glycemic, ripe, organic; local-grown [farmers markets:

www.ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets/map.htm or www.localharvest.org]): dark grape &

apple/pear w/seeds, currants, pomegranate, peach/nectarine, apricots & apricot

kernels; bilberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, strawberries,

blueberries, cranberries, lychee; fig, cantaloupe, plantain?, papaya, kiwi, red

grapefruit & lemon (w/rind) and (unless using Hoxsey) tomato

I think fruit's particularly beneficial for prostate cancer (PC) patients,

especially pomegranate, cranberry, & TOMATOES.

Again, never eat much high-glycemic food on empty stomach, and never too many

carbs at any 1 meal.
