Kate,

I was dx w/bc 4 yrs ago & yes... I know all about the torrent of alternative

info out there. I will just give you a few names.. do your homework, study

and research everything. Some applications that are NOT snake oil in my

experience are.. AHCC-Immpower, Polymva, Ave (Avemar), essiac tea,

graviola, N-tense, Beta-glucans, Artemisinin, Noni, Cayce castor oil hot

packs and the Budwig protocol. This is not an all-inclusive,

exhaustive list, by any means. If, after doing your homework, you want

some reputable sources for any of these, just holler. I do believe in

making sure my treatments are the highest quality that I can afford without

breaking the bank.

Some additional things that might help are Vit D, Vit C, melatonin and

other supplements and moderate exercise. You need to avoid 'white' foods

(potatoes, commercially prepared breads, ice-cream, rice, gravies etc, all

sugars (except stevia, etc), try to eat organic, well-balanced,

low-glycemic meals, read labels & stay away from junk food, colas &

additives.

Look at your lifestyle and try to take the 'burden' off your immune system.

The immune system is the key. Avoid smoking, household cleaner fumes,

hairspray fumes, watch your deoderant, makeup, toothpaste, shampoos, etc.

What are your treatment plans? What do the doctors have planned for you?

Do you plan to only do alternatives? Don't panic, my friend. God bless &

good luck in your search.

Kate,

The best advice I can give you is to take advice from websites that do not sell

anything. One of the better ones out there is www.cancertutor.com

Another one that I think has good analysis and advice is

www.naturalnews.com and research cancer on their site

another option is http://crazysexylife.com/ don't pay attention to the name it

is a great site with lots of resources.

Another good site with many options is http://www.annieappleseedproject.org/

I never take advice from a site that is trying to sell something on that site.

Rather research sites that write about many different options, products and

protocols.

There are many more such sites out there so do your research diligently. It

will pay off. Also there are many many different support groups. If you join

several, you will hear what others have to say.

Good Luck

I was diagnosed with grade 1 ductal carcinoma Dec. 23rd. I'm trying to wade

through all the info out there. It's overwhelming sometimes. Who's right, who's

wrong, and who are quacks trying to sell me the miracle cure? Hard to tell

sometimes.

Has anyone here tried the following? With what results?

essiac

cellfood

immunopower

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Kate
