Guest guest
I do not know if different areas have different rules, however, I have never heard of Hospice 'taking' anyone's anything. Over the years Hospice has been the one shining light in a terrible situation and they are often the difference in a peaceful end vs one of horror. They sometimes use the hospital or their own facilities and sometimes at one's home. Joe C.
Guest guest
Maybe hospices are different but when my great gram went into a nursing home the state tried to take the house instead of paying the nursing home. She was 99 at the time and we eventually fought it and got medicaid and public aid to take care of it since no way did she have an income. Guest guest
Thanks to all who responded to my questions on Hospice. My sister has good medical insurance, no medicaid. I still don't trust hospice because of what I'm hearing. I've called the 800 # to ask questions on the charges but no answer! I've asked her nurse who tells me to call the 800 #! I guess only time will tell. Barbara
