I read recently that there are two pain killing substances in Aloe Vera.

The dose required for this pain relieving action is pretty much double

that generally advised.

I don't know to what extent this would be adequate for your needs, but

may be of interest to members even if just for fibromyalgia, arthritis,

and so on, especially as aloe vera has so many medicinal qualities and

has been used in the treatment of some cancers.

It takes some time for the pain easing action to become evident. (A

couple of weeks or more).

Based solely on the experience of a friend, I would be strongly inclined

to apply Black Salve to the lymph gland areas.

I would look into alt. pain killers that don't suppress immunity.

The people in the US could possibly advise you on where to get it, but I

would expect any health food store to stock it. However, I prefer to

get one in a glass bottle, micropulp rather than filtered. The one I get

here in Australia comes from the other side of the continent, in

Queensland, but I am pleased with it because it doesn't have

preservatives in it that I don't like. It just has citric acid. " No

sweeteners, preservatives or colouring " . It's certified organic and is

called Aloe-Organics Pure Aloe Vera Juice, Micropulp. It comes in a 1

litre glass bottle with a kind of plastic skin on the outside, which I

like both for shielding the contents from light and for safety if the

bottle should fall and break. In my local chemist it costs nearly $30 a

bottle, but ordering several boxes from Queensland with a couple of

friends brings it down to about $17. That includes freight to this side

of the country. http://www.hitechaloe.com/ They claim it is " *Best

quality Aloe Vera available anywhere in the world. " *Once the pure

inner gel is extracted from the leaves it is stabilised and pasteurised,

before bottling or being formulated for further processing. After

harvesting, the leaves are delivered within one hour to a state of the

art TGA approved facility where they undergo an extremely gentle, cold

extraction process. largest grower, processor and exporter of Aloe Vera

products in the Southern Hemisphere.

The friend who told me about the pain killing properties initially got

hers from one of these international pyramid type companies, which

reckoned theirs was the only one, etc. but they put flavouring in, which

I don't like; if I want the taste disguised I would rather do it myself

and know what goes in.

All the best.

I get certified organic aloe either juice or gel from my health food store. Well

really I order it off the net but it is readily available.
