Guest guest
During a regular check-up this spring, I had some bloodwork done and my liver enzymes were elevated. My doctor suggested an ultrasound and, guess what, gallstones. I had not experienced any severe discomfort as a result of them, but looking back, I'm sure some of my physical discomfort could be attributed to them. Anyway, about a week or two later I had my first gall bladder attack. I had a three week trip scheduled (in about 3 weeks time) and I was scared. I didn't want to have an attack while overseas. So I made an appointment with a surgeon and scheduled surgery for the following week. Over the weekend I did some research online and decided to postpone the surgery, at least until after the trip. This was about 3 months ago. I have not had an attack since, but I do suffer some discomfort. I want to do a flush. I'm scared. What if the stones get lodged in the duct? What if my gall bladder is so diseased that I'll have to go to the ER for emergency surgery? I'm afraid and I need advice. I was planning to do the flush this Friday, since I have no plans for the weekend. I was planning to only eat 4 or five green apples in the morning (before 2pm) and then just do the olive oil and grapefruit combination. I don't want to do the epsom salts because it sounds nasty. Would I be making a big mistake? If so, and I need to do the ES, could someone tell me where to get them? Thanks in advance for all your help. Back in early Dec. 2000, I had a severe gallbladder attack and had to go to the ER. Previous to the attack, I figured that my GB was giving me problems because I had been having some discomfort, which some of it I thought was reflux problems. But one time I had a little more than that then and thought, Oh my, it's my GB! Also, reflux can be a symptom of GB problems. So anyway, I did some research and went on Dr. Cabot's liver cleansing diet, which helped me a lot and no more pains. But one night as we were coming home late from out of town and were very hungry, the only thing around was Jack In The Box, so we stopped there and I had a chicken sandwich. Oh, it was awful. But at about 2:00 in the morning I woke up in very, very severe pain, just about screaming. I did this for several hours, couldn't stand, sit, walk and my hubby took me to the ER. I was reluctant because we had no insurance, but the pain was so bad by that time, I didn't give a hoot. After a couple shots of demerol, the pain eased enough that I could stand it. But a really smart aleck ER doc came in wanting to know if I wanted surgery right then. I was just sick and didn't really want to talk about it at that time, but I looked at him and said, I'm going to go back on my diet and stay with that. He said, Your diet won't help you in a thousand years, it won't get rid of these stones. You'll be back here again. Well, anyway, the surgeon came in who had more tact and compassion, and said, Go try your diet again. If that's what a patient wants, I always try to tell them to do that first. If I ever have to have surgery, you can bet your bootie that I won't go back to that hospital just because of that smart aleck, compassion-lacking ER doctor. So I came home and after getting off all the strong antibiotics and pain meds, I decided to do a cleanse. I was scared to death because I thought that a stone would get lodged somewhere. Needless to say, some people who have their GB removed get stones stuck anyway a while after the surgery. Did a whole lot of research, talked to an old friend who's been doing this over 10 years, I talked to this group, which there were different people here at the time. But Dale was one who encouraged me so much, and I am grateful to have met him. He's a rock! Then there was a Jim person here who helped me. I don't think he's here anymore, but I had so much support. I decided to do the cleanse, doing it and combining Dr. Cabot's cleanse together with Dr. 's cleanse. In Dr. Cabot's cleanse, I prepared very seriously for a week, drinking 1 quart of organic apple juice every day because it's said that it softens the stones to make passing easier. I ate healthy all week, eating mostly veggies and some fish, my regular amount of lots of good water. Note: after doing the organic apple juice, I can tell you that you do pass tons more stuff. That's a fact that I experienced. Then I drank the ES like in Dr. 's cleanse. It's nasty, but it doesn't kill you. Just drink it fast. Someone had a good idea and when I have straws, I do it. Drink it through a straw quickly. You don't taste it as much. Now, they say chill it, but I can't stand it chilled, so I mix up half my dose for the night and the next morning, I now drink Magnesium Citrate liquid that you can get in a drug store. It doesn't wipe me out as bad in the mornings as the ES. So I use the ES at night, two doses like the recipe says. The Magnesium Citrate, 1/2 bottle each dose in the morning. It does the same thing. I have found the ES a lot more effective at night, so I do that at night. Here is something that you can do with your olive oil/grape fruit mixture. Also add 1/4 cup of organic apple juice. I've found this works very well added to that. Then also press in a little bit of fresh ginger root. It is a cleanser, plus it holds down nausea. I was totally surprised after I did my first cleanse. I didn't feel a thing except every once in a while I felt little things passing or something but it never hurt at all. Now, sometimes the next day if you've passed a lot of larger stuff, you may be a little sore around your liver/GB area like you've done 50 sit-ups or something. I had this happen one time when I passed some large ones. One word of advice that I hope you take. Go on a healthy diet, learn your healthy fats because you need them to remain healthy. You can ask Dale, he suffered greatly because he cut out all this fats when, in fact, it's important that you have your essential fatty acids. Another bit of advice, get you some magnesium citrate capsules from the health food store. I always try to buy a Solaray brand, which it's so wonderful. It's important that you take one three times a day. Always reserve one dose for bedtime. Most people are magnesium deficient nowadays. Read this that Dale sent me and scroll down to Gallstones: http://www.mgwater.com/rod16.shtml Next, I don't know where you live, but get you some Beta-TCP that you take with your meals. It's a bile thinner, and I've had great success with it, but there's not many places that you can get it. If you need help, please let me know. I hope this helps you. The people on this forum are great and would help you in any way that they can. But I've found that what works for one person, doesn't always work for another. Most of the basics that I've told you, though, may really work for you. Take care & be well, Susie

I wouldn't leave the Epsom Salts regimen out, so important for clearing out the small intestine and colon, and for relaxing the ducts for easier passage of whatever is in the gb/liver ducts. Guest guest
Martha, If you have not had an attack in 3 months, I would heartily encourage you to do the cleanse now in hopes that you will never have to have surgery. I have done 16 cleanses and never had any discomfort more than a sore bottom from " running " to the bathroom, no pun intended. Many people have done way more than 16 cleanses. I ended up having surgery because my attacks came on with no notice and continued for seven months, finally coming on every day. I knew about the cleanse years ago, but did not think I needed to do them. If you take the ES, chances are you will not feel a thing more than a little bit of rumbling tumbling feeling. SUsie gave some great advice. Surgery costs almost $8000 total. This is $10. Read some of the posts in the history. You'll see most everyone has nothing but success. Dawn PS you can get ES in any drugstore or Wal Mart in the pharmacy section. Also putting the ES in apple juice or grapefruit juice makes it a little more palatable. I put mine in apple juice. > > This was about 3 months ago. I have not had an attack since, but I do suffer > some discomfort. I want to do a flush. I'm scared. Guest guest
, I just did my first cleanse two days ago. I mixed the Epsom salts with fresh apple juice and some vit c powder and it wasn't bad at all. Just drink it fast. Also, I thought the grapefruit and olive oil drink was pretty good! I don't know why, but I had probably less than 10 stones come out but a lot of sandy type material. Not sure if I should do another cleanse in 2 weeks. I don't have any gallbladder problems. I have PMS problems due to fibrocystic breasts and uterine fibroids from too much estrogen. I was told to cleanse my liver to rid my body of the excess estrogen. This should cause my cysts to disappear. Since I didn't get as many stones out as everyone else, I am wondering if I even have any stones. -----Original Message----- From: L. Yes, I also used grapefruit juice with the olive oil for the first time last flush thanks to the information on this list, and also thought it was a lot better than mixed with lemon juice like I've done it for years. I don't worry much about the taste of everything though, after all, it's a treatment, not a snack (thank goodness! :-) I got that sandy stuff you described too, chaf. Why don't you wait and see how your body responds to the work you have done? Others will say do this again, it is really up to you! Let me know if this does indeed help with the fibrocystic breasts and fibroids, I'd like to suggest it to people if so. Thanks!! L. Guest guest
Hi. > This is my 4th day on LDN(3mg) and till now I have been fine...I had a major migraine all day long...(I don't take pain killers) and now that it has kind of subsided..I have coldness in/on the left corner of my mouth...also som balance problems....I just got over a relapse with return of all my regular movements... After recovering from my last relapse, I remember myself wondering: " Well, am I ever going to be able to feel my left hand again? " Today, I am typing this message using both hands, at a speed of about 1 word per sec. Don't worry. You'll be fine. It might take a little time, though, but with LDN you will be all right. See you round. Stavros
