You will know when to lower HCl amounts by burning symptoms, in which case you should cut back on the amount the same way you increased them. Over time you will decrease them until you no longer need them. I occasionally take them if I've consumed additives or other chemicals when I've gone out to eat. So, yes, eventually your stomach will produce enough acid. When you are stressed it partially shuts down digestion, decreasing stomach acid, so you may need HCl at that time too. During stress it is also wise to go on an all liquid diet, like Bee's Egg Drink, broths, soup, etc. That's also when you need to do deep breathing exercises to switch off the sympathetic nervous system - those exercises are on my website. The best to you, Bee
Guest guest
Thanks Bee, I actually got a burning sensation last night after taking 6 tablets with my dinner. I took 5 tablets for lunch today and experienced no ill effects. Thanks a million Bee!

Guest guest
Hi Bee, I know that answer was for , but the part about the stress was also good for me right now, thanks! Just a quick question: I was taking HCl (not many, only 3, & worked my way up to that as per your website) and it made my stomach feel worse - lots of burning. I haven't taken them since and I rarely get stomach pain anymore and if I do, I eat fresh ginger. Is that okay or should I try to take them again? Thanks! > > > > Hi > > > > I started taking HCI with my food yesterday. You would have started with 1 HCl tablet and when you were UP to the amount that caused burning, i.e. 3 tablets, you cut back 1 tablet. You would stay at that amount until you get burning from the lower dose, and then you take only, and so on. If the ginger helps and you don't get any stomach pain, you do not need to take HCl. Guest guest
> > Why are we to take HCI after our meals instead of with them? +++Hi Darlene. That is because normally it takes 20-30 minutes after eating for stomach acid to get high enough to neutralize digestion of carbohydrates (any foods not classed as protein or fat). Digestion of carbs starts in the mouth and continues for that 20-30 minute period of time (until it is neutralized by HCl), which you don't want to stop too early by taking HCl until 20-30 minutes after eating. Guest guest
I would like to take Hydrochloric Acid tablets as I am over 60 and feel I need them. Is this advisable and where would I obtain? Toni
