Guest guest
That indeed does sound very bad Donna. How did the docs find the real problem? Is there a blood test for this? ~Amber > Lyme disease can cause ammonia to build up in liver and blood. Guest guest
:For the hep C it was through a blood test and the ammonia build up starts affecting the brain. He had multiple myeloma and was only 42 when diagnosed 1999 and went through a year of a mild form of chemo (pill form) but his liver was damaged from the hep C and he didn't know it. So with the addition of chemo on top of a liver already damaged it took his liver over the edge. We took him to Pittsburgh to see if he was a candidate for liver & bone marrow transplant but he wasn't and that was his only hope. He passed away in 2003. That was an awful year for all of us I lost my home to foreclosure and my handicapped daughter had to be placed in a home and he had to go to a nursing home for care.
