Appendix Cancer - Western Medicine options exhausted

Hi. I'm new to this group and just wanted to " introduce " myself. My

mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage IV mucinous appendix carcinoma in April

2009, found during " routine hysterectomy for fibroids " . She underwent a tortuous

6 months of FOLFOX chemotherapy only to find on CT scan that the cancer spread.

She then moved on to surgery, but when the surgeon opened her up, he found the

cancer had spread so much he couldn't perform surgery and closed her back up.

She's still in the hospital from that surgery. He gave her " a few months " . At

this point, our hope with Western medicine is pretty much diminished to nothing

and we have moved on in the hopes that holistic medicine could help in some way.

I'd just like to know if anyone out there could tell me their story if they have

had luck with holistic medicine after being diagnosed with cancer. It would sure

help my family have a little hope. Thanks in advance for any information.
