Guest guest
Dear , Welcome. I am saddened to hear of your Mother-in-law's cancer. Personally, I believe in the power of Hope--it costs nothing and can be done anywhere!! I was diagnosed with stage 4 tonsil cancer( metastisized). I was told that with surgery, radiation and chemo I had a 65% chance of living 5 years-if the cancer didn't come back someplace else sooner. I'm a single mother, my son was 11y/o when I was diagnosed. For reasons I won't go into, I declined their generous western offers (except for Chemo), My largest neck tumor was 5cm x 4.5cm, I chose chemo to shrink the tumors--(chemo wasn't supposed to do that, " palliative, not curative " my Dr said). All I heard was that I was going to die, over & over. I was then ( & still am) very confident & comfortable with the choices that I made. Except for chemo to buy me time for my 'holistic medicines' to work, everything I did was designed to allow my body to heal itself. I believe in the mind/body/spirit connection, I worked on all those levels-- & still am. I believe in the power of intuition, I trust that my body knows and will tell me what it needs (How I got cancer in the 1st place is topic for another conversation). I have been listening to my body very hard these past (almost) two years- four Dr's gave me 6-12 months when I was diagnosed & refused surgery and radiation. I believe that as long as there is a breath in my body there is Hope. I do not know what tomorrow brings, but I am not afraid to die anymore--I already walked up and embraced that. For me, death doesn't mean failure or the end, I just drop my human robe and go somewhere else. Now it's about living. Here is a list of some of the things that I've done and some I continue to do: Vit C-, garlic, Essiac tea, Hulda protcols, flax seed and cottage cheese, herbal cancer teas, herbal blood cleanser teas, lymph system cleansers, chinese medicine for cancer and lymph, all manner of vitamins & minerals, water additives to increase oxygen levels, fresh vegetable and fruit juices, the Rife machine, a biofeedback machine, footbaths, prayers, meditations, a paper listing the things I wanted to do with my son before I died, all things in preparation to die, daily gratitude lists, I have been fortunate to have people in different churches praying for me--I never negate the power of prayer. I am finally comfortable with what works for me and when it doesn't anymore, then I'll go back to the beginning and start researching all over again. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers- May we all find peace and gratitude for what we do have.
