Guest guest
I have a friend (62 year old female) who recently (6 months ago) was diagnosed with Colon ca. Interestingly, she has numerous gallstones (interesting because the literature suggests an association betw gallbladder disease and colon cancer). Strict vegan for many years and very much into supplementation of a variety of herbal/vitamin formuations, she is now stage IV with ascites (increasingly weak, with protein loss from fluid drainage). She has decided to finally submit to chemo. My concern is that she is failing rapidly and needs more than chemo to stabilize her disease. Has anyone experience with this (colon ca w/ ascites)? Iscador? IV vitamin C? I note that the oxidized form of vitamin C + B12 has been used in animals. Any known success with humans? Although dehydroascorbic is sold OTC, it is quite expensive. Any less expensive solution? Cancer Lett. 2008 May 18;263(2):164-9. Epub 2008 Apr 2. Dehydroascorbic acid as an anti-cancer agent.
