Hi, Great article. I am new to this group. I am behind on the posts but great

discussions here.

One question I've been wondering about is. Seeing over & over again how

important Raw food is. How cooking destroy the enzymes.

I know a close friend of Asian descent. Her 3 grand parents age 80 & 90+ all

very healthy & cancer free. They don't eat a raw diet. They cook everything they

eat. So how come they are cancer & many chronic diesease free?

Can we copy their lifestyle & live to be a healthy at 85?

C.J.

Raw food can be important and it is the rare salad one can eat without it being

raw..............except macaroni salad and that is not what most on this list

consider good healthy food. We have learned that, as regards cancer fighting

food, Asparagus being one.I suppose it is meant that we should not be boiling

them to death but rather steaming them or perhaps grilling. Perhaps it is

generally better to eat raw so one preserves every benefit except, of course,

for those that provide more when cooked. I’ll go one better......but only

one. My 102 year old aunt that lives alone, cooks, cleans, and then goes

knocking on her sick daughter’s (My cousin) door to go shopping. To be sure

Aunt Dora eats her salads raw and most likely all fruit and cooks everything

else...................hardly most things we should. Therefore, don’t wonder

just do your best, avoid things you know to be wrong for us and I say avoid

because much of what is bad for us is not under our control. The graveyards are

full of vegetarians, fruitarians, and even herbivores, drunkards and the most

sober, smokers and non-smokers but don’t think for one minute this is an

endorsement of the Standard lifestyle

From: Garth & Kim

Cancer is normally caused by a combination of

event/stimulus's

of mankind.........it isn’t. Hopefully all of us hold that eating wholesome

and clean food, free of contaminants and pure water is the right thing to do and

generally better than those eating conventionally.
