Guest guest
and unwilling hospitals. I was wondering, is anyone else having unbelievable amounts of difficulty getting an ultrasound, MRI, or CT scan of their breasts as opposed to getting a mammogram? I switched from U of M to Beaumont thinking that Beaumont would probably be following the new standards before anyone else, but it's not so. The only thing I hear is that they need to do a mammogram or they won't know what to look for in any other tests... Mammograms never show anything for me... too much white (density). Now, I've had ultrasounds done of a few areas of my body and they found what they were looking for without any x-rays before hand whatsoever. How is the breast so different? How do I get someone to give me a mammogram? Where can I go myself and pay out of pocket for one so I have piece of mind? If anyone can please help direct me to a place that will be willing to do this for me, I'd be thrilled and grateful to no end.
