Guest guest
Todd, I'm sorry to hear that your wife is having such an awful time. It's always difficult to see a vital person devastated by illness. Your support is wonderful and I'm sure she values it, whether she can tell you or not. I can't help you with possible co-infections, primarily because I live on the east coast. The difficulty, though, with treating co- infections is that there are tests for only a few, so even LLMDs have to guess. If your LLMD suspects a co-infection, then he will probably prescribe a broad-spectrum antibiotic (like doxycycline) that attacks a broad range of bugs and bug forms. Good luck to you and your wife. Guest guest
Dear Todd: As far as the mental aspect of Lyme it can be as bad or even worse than the mental. I would check the side effects of the medication she is on and a combination of some meds. can bring on very distressing emotions (especially crying spells). I don't mean to get to personal, but how old is your wife? Is it possible that this could be perimenopausal? This can happen anywhere from 30 on up until actually menopause age. Check with your dr.'s. I don't know if this is any help at all, but it was what came to mind when I read your e-mail. Your wife is very blessed to have you by her side, knowledge is power and so is having a supportive spouse. I know my husband deserves a metal for putting up with the battle I have been involved in for the past 5+ years. Be blessed and keep the faith that things will get better. Blessings for healing, DonnaLee __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Todd I also can't tell you about co-infections, but when I was taking Zithro (for the L-form/cell wall deficient form)and now the Flagyl (cyst form of Lyme)I've had a roller coaster ride with emotions. I had to back off and take 1/4 tablet of the Flagyl every other day (for the last 2 weeks) and make sure I drink a gallon of water a day to help clear my system. It is getting much better than it was. Wish I could help more Rose Marie > > > > > > > > > Now, my wife and i are at a crossroads. Guest guest
Todd, Your wife is lucky to have you for her advocate. Rocephin antibiotic administered intraveniously crosses the blood brain barrier which most likely your wife needs to address the Central Nerveous System Lyme infection. Doxycycline is used as the first choice after an acute infection because it kills Ehrlichia, too. This was a treatment I received after an acute Lyme diagnosis this August. I did not get diagnosed immediately, even though I had an immediate Erythema Migrans as well as the typical symptoms of mild flue and a lot of pain with night sweats and diarrhea. My 1st treatment started with 2 weeks of Doxy almost 1 month later, followed by a 2nd course of Doxy for 3 weeks with 18 days of no abx inbetween. My husband and I were vacationing in Maine enjoying hiking when I found three tiny black dots under my ankle which the doctor, at the emergency hospital, ruled out to be ticks. I received 28 days of Rocephin via PICC Line in Novemeber because I continued to test strongly positive on both ELISA and Western blot tests. I was lucky I got this treatment from Infectious Diseses Physician. But that was all he would give me. I am now seeing Lyme literate doctor who put me on Ketek and Amoxycillin. I have been on it for 1 month and a half now. I was told all my symptoms would get worse while on this treatment. This has not happened yet. It could be your wife has been experiencing her reaction, woesening of her symptoms. I hope you can find a good LLMD who can administer safely Rocephin to your wife. Make sure your wife is taking plenty of probiotics that have many strains inbetween the abx doses!!! Sould be refregerated. Good Luck and my best to your wife. Be patient and don't loose hope. Guest guest
I found that the herxing and side effects of Ketek caused extreme mood swings in me as well. I started taking 20mg of paxil, daily, about 4 months ago, and my mood swings have really stabilized. Lyme causes changes in the brain that emulate depression and can cause sudden boughts of anxiety and suicidal impulses. I would suggest that your wife should consider taking an anti-depressant. I would also suggest that you contact Dr Murakami, in Hope or Vancouver BC, as he is best LLMD, that I know of up here. cheers Duncan > > Hi gang, > > I, as always, appreciate your help and support. I spoke yesterday to a doctor at Mount Sinai hospital here in New York, he speciliazes in internal medicine. He told me that Bartonella is not a big deal. Guest guest
> > I've been suffering with IBS for about a year now and was recently > advised to cut out Yeast and Sugar as well as cow's milk, soya and rye. I'm finding it really hard at the moment as I'm confused as to the extent that I have to cut out sugar, should I cut it completely or is it ok to eat a small amount of sugary food (ie one cereal bar daily)? ==>Hi Amy. Welcome to our group. Unfortunately you have to cut out all sugars, and not even one cereal bar daily is okay. That is because candida feeds off of sugars of all kinds; in fact it feeds off of all carbs (all foods that aren't classified as protein or fat). But it is impractical to cut out all carbs, so only those that are high in carbs or sugars are eliminated. ==>You need to cut out all dairy products, except butter, since they all contain lactose (sugar) too. And also all grains are cut out. > I'm also confused about what I can drink on nights out, is vodka ok? ==>No, all alcohol is mycotoxic, meaning it is a fungal-type toxin, which is not allowed on the program. Any alcohol also adds to the overload of alcohol in your body because candida puts out over 79 toxins, most of which are alcohol. > And what can I use as sugar alternatives? I've been advised to use > agave nectar, but is honey and maple syrup ok? ==>No, none of them are okay. The only type of sweetener allowed is stevia and only in very small amounts. The fact that you are wanting sugars certainly indicates you have candida big time! > > I really want to get better as the bloating, constapation, tiredness and depression I have had this year have made studying extremely difficult. Unfortunately the food industry, governments, and even nutritionists and others are promoting improper diets. I started to think that this is incurable. Anybody please help if you know or heard of a cure! +++Hi there. Welcome to our group. What is your name please? Candida is definitely curable if you follow Nature's Fundamental laws on health, which is to provide your body with the nutrients it requires so it becomes able to heal itself naturally. Candida is not cured by killing it off; it just doesn't work that way at all. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system with mainly " proper nutrients " (this diet plus supplements) by eliminating foods and toxins that feed candida, and by eliminating toxins in general and foods that are damaging to anyone's health. That is what this program is all about: " proper nutrients " and how the body heals itself. See these many Success Stories for encouragement: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php Please read two important articles so you understand what you need to do and why: 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/candida/index.php The best, Bee

Guest guest
Hi there .. there are a lot of potentials of what is causing your symptoms, if you have other symptoms, like feeling physically unstable etc that might pound to DHEA or Thyroid or anything " hyper " in origin, even sarsaprilla has a speedy element to it, increases adrenaline I guess. But, if your symptoms are just feel like poop warmed over and spacie .. that sounds like an immune reaction .. which could be good if its just killing stuff off .. are you doing any kind of detox along with this to help carry away not only dead whatevers .. but the toxins they create ?? Its hard for us to say, since only you know how long youve been on what and in what order youve added things .. if you or someone else cant figure it out, might have to start fresh adding one step at a time to find out whats going on... DETOX is HUGE no matter if your on a protocol or not.. I always have to ask people if theyve had a Coagulatiion panel run to see if they have Hypercoagulation/thick blood .. if so and untreated, most things either dont work or have an adverse reaction because it cant move through your system propertly .. I advise everyone to read up on this one Element .. so they fully understand the importance of getting your blood thin and your vessals as clearned out as good as possible, not only for proper body functions, but so you dont have a Heart Attack or Stroke .. Happened to me when they where saying seldom involved...ha Try to add as much info as you can like what you started when, k.. maybe someone else can help with that info.. Sorry, I couldnt help more... cynthia > > Jaye, > > I'm sure someone is going to address this but SLOW DOWN!!! I feel about 75% better and am thankful for that. I started my treatment with Artemisinin on the chance that I had Babesia as I had the night sweats. I also took Natural Factors Garlic Factors both 3 times a day. The Resveratrol recommended in the book gave me problems so I switched to Now food Natural Resveratrol 200mg. I took Huperzine A and Ginko for the brain fog and memory along with vinpocetine. What I see missing from your list; 1.Siberian Eleuthero. I used the tincture at first and now use Natures Way Siberian Eleuthero standardized. 2pills moring and 2 at lunch. For malaise and general strengthening. 2.Boneset immune boost 3.Redroot for detox 4.Bromelaine and Tumeric for inflamation 5.chlorella for detox. From Dr Klinghardts detox. 6.Nattokinaise for fibrin. I had some stomach indegestion at first and felt some pain in my heart but both subsided. Klinghardt recommends Lumbrokinaise which is much more expensive but is supposed to work better. 7. S.B. recommends Swedish Massage. I had no money so I just washed with a stiff bath brush sort of a physical detox each day and lots of hot water. I just started Accupressure using Michal Gach's book Accupressures Potent Points. Dr Zhang recommends Accupuncture. I wish I had started earlier with the accupressure as it seems very beneficial. One treatment stopped knee pain that had been there all summer. 8. I also use a zapper ala Dr. Hulda . It seemed to put the lyme on the run but due to metal pins in my body it is not avised. Guest guest
Make sure your pharmacy has not made any changes in compounding your LDN, check for a bladder infection, fever, could weather change be causing a problem, have you developed candida yeast overgrowth? Check your stress level. You might skip taking LDN for 3 nights and start back and see if that makes any difference. I see people complain most during seasonal changes and time changes like Daylight Saving Time going on. , LDN user 6 years for progressive MS. ================== ================= > > Dear every body > I am in 6th years of MS.
