Guest guest
Hi Rashelle, You're right. I think I was getting ready to have an allergy attack and I did not want to take anything for it because it makes me so sleepy. Usually that is the only thing that stops me from sneezing and getting worse. But I did some more LL breaths and all my symptoms went away!!! I thought how awesome that is to just do some breaths and have my allergy problems go away. Love, Hi , I loved hearing that it helped your headache. I never get headaches so I don't know personally, but I have heard it over and over again from others who do Life Lift. Years ago someone came into my health center and she said she felt like she was coming down with a bad cold. She felt awful when she started. She was not sure she even wanted to do the Life Lift session. I told her I thought it might actually help. By the time she left she was raving about the improvement in how she felt. You could actually see it in her eyes. I always think if anything ails you...do some Life Lift breaths and you are bound to feel better. I use it as my number one natural remedy for everything. I woke up with a headache this morning and after doing 40 breaths my headache went away. I am still feeling a little lelthargic, (may be coming down with something) but am going to do some more this afternoon and see if that will help. Guest guest
Hello Dearest , I can only imagine how many people you helped today with this message. This time of the year can be horrible for those with allergies. Just think how much better we would all feel if we would just do our Life Lift breaths every time we felt like something is not quite right. The extra oxygen in our systems seems to re-adjust us somehow. There is nothing like a good, deep Life Lift breath to make you feel better. You are always...wonderful! I'm not Rich, but I'm a longtime CPAP user. I've actually had my CPAP *cause* central apnea when it was set too high. It can blow so much air up the airway that the lungs just sort of stop having to work, interrupting the autonomic nervous system's control of the process and thus triggering central apnea. I'm not aware that CPAP is considered an appropriate treatment for anything other than OSA. >> I have sleep apnea myself, and getting more oxygen while you are >> sleeping is just what you need to do for that. I use a CPAP >> machine, but increasing the oxygen content of the air you breath >> will accomplish the same thing. CPAPs don't work by increasing O2 -- and the problems caused by apnea are not O2-related problems. OSA is caused by the collapse of the airway (usually in the throat) during sleep. This shuts down the breathing cycle for up to a minute at a time, during which time BP spikes and the CO2 builds up to dangerous levels in the blood. These problems, of course, put stress on the circulatory system that can damage it -- perhaps fatally -- over the long term. Apnea also prevents you from descending into the deep levels of restorative sleep where daily cellular detox and repair occur. This allows toxins and microtears to build up throughout the body's cells, creating FM-like and other inflammatory symptoms as well as the daytime grogginess that apnea is noted for. CPAP machines are designed to hold the airway open so regular breathing can be maintained, thus allowing for normal sleep. Simple O2 will not hold the airway open, nor prevent apneas, nor help you achieve deep sleep. About all it can do is make sure that when you finally do gasp your way back to a breath, they'll be enough O2 to reoxygenate your blood quickly. It doesn't fix the underlying problems at all. This is not a cure; it's not even really much help. These issues need to be resolved by a competent sleep medicine clinic, not homecures and hearsay. Guest guest
Thank you for the post, Dr. McGill. For those of us who are promoting breath awareness as a path toward enhanced self-healing, keep in mind the following:1) Good posture unloads the diaphragm allowing a full excursion which brings O2 deep into the lungs where the exchange of gases occur. Without a good diaphragmatic excursion, we sip air into the top of the lungs with very little exchange of gases occurring. Good posture allows this excursion, poor posture does not.2) The single largest source of nitric oxide (a smooth muscle relaxant and powerful toxin which kills viruses and bacteria on contact) is found in each nostril in the para-nasal sinuses. If we can just keep the breath through the nostrils and not the mouth, we enable the smooth muscle surrounding the arteries to expand greatly increasing the delivery of O2 into every cell in the body. These two simple instructions can greatly improve patient self-healing if practiced:1) move your diaphragm (not your chest) breathing, and 2) breathe through your nose. Lyndon McGill, D.C. Salem, Oregon www.SalemSpineClinic.com www.EvolvingDaily.com http://www.breathing.com/articles/oxygen.htm Directly quoted from the article: "Oxygen shortage in the human body has been linked to every major illness category including... heart conditions, cancer, digestion and elimination problems, respiratory disease, inflamed, swollen and aching joints, sinus problems, yeast infections and even sexual dysfunction. Fresh live foods and rain water contain oxygen. Cooked foods and stagnant water has much less oxygen. Oxygen is our primary source of energy. It displaces harmful free radicals, neutralizes environmental toxins and destroys anaerobic (the inability to live in oxygen rich environments) infectious bacteria, parasites, microbes and viruses. Oxygen is the main energy source for our brain function. It calms the mind and stabilizes the nervous system. Without oxygen we cannot absorb important vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients our body needs. When our cells lack oxygen they weaken and die. Without oxygen, nothing works very well or at all.. More indicators of possible low oxygen levels in the body are muscle aches; forgetfulness; heart palpitations; circulation or digestive problems; damaged cell growth; excessive amounts of colds and infections. The American Heart Association states that over 1.5 million people die per year from heart conditions and that 70% of our population has some evidence of heart condition. All heart attacks come down to the hard working heart muscle’s failure to receive adequate supplies of oxygen. Of course maintaining one’s arteries and capillaries for easy blood passage is indispensable to optimal health but the fastest way to get oxygen right now is to breathe. Hypoxia, or oxygen starvation, over-stimulates the sympathetic nervous system causing heart rate increases and invites eventual cardiac troubles. The heart must work harder to replace get the oxygen it needs and eventually it will collapse. Oxygen depletion weakens our immune system, which leads to viral infections damaged cells growths inflamed joints serious heart and circulatory problems toxic buildup in blood and premature aging Low oxygen allows damaged cells to multiply and form growths in our bodies because our cells are oxygen deficient. If the cells in our bodies are rich in oxygen, mutated cells are less able to reproduce.
Guest guest
, Oxygen as a cancer cure is a myth because cancer research throughout the world involves tissue culture techniques in which cancer cells are grown (optimally) in the presence of air which is 20% oxygen. I'm not against oxygenating the body to help fight cancer but I don't believe oxygen kills cancerous cells. It probably helps detoxify the patient and fight against cancer-causing microbes though. But I use electromedicine to fight microbes and a near-vegetarian diet to detoxify the body. Here's a very revealing testimony: Carol from La Verne, CA writes: " I've been a fan of Earth Clinics remedies for a long time. Had success with oil pulling, leaching out fluoride, ACV with baking soda, but one remedy I have to warn against is the oxygen therapy for cancer. I have breast cancer and tried the HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy). It was $6,000 for 40 sessions. At the end of these sessions my tumor grew from a large grape size to a large grapefruit size. In addition I tried soaking in Hydrogen Peroxide and taking Bill's spray. This irritated the tumor and sprouted another tumor in my lymph node area under my arm. So I just want to warn those of you with cancer to be wary. "
Guest guest
Hello , Oxygen in the air doesn't kill cancer, but rather active oxygen O3 when introduced in the body leaves an extra O atom which is called active oxygen and does in fact kill cancer. Oxygen ozone in the air will kill cancer in the petre dish if it is cancer. Cancer in the body is missing the protective enzyme that keeps normal cells safe from Oxygen.
