Guest guest
Dale, thanks for your informative post... My name is Barbara, I'm 49, and I've been reading here for a couple of weeks. I've never had much in the way of health problems, other than a hysterectomy due to fibroids last year at about this time. The info and links here are really helping me understand the reasons for gallbladder attacks. I don't know yet if I will do a flush. I am currently not having problems, since I recently started paying attention to the fatty foods and avoiding the really bad ones, and drinking apple and grapefruit juice on a daily basis. I know there are a lot more improvements I can make to my diet ... I will check out the book you recommend. Maybe I passed stones without knowing it, or a large one had blocked the bile duct. I had several attacks, a few days to a week apart, starting around late August. In any case, I am sure that I do have gallstones, they showed up on pelvic ultrasound two years ago, but at that time I had no symptoms. The ultrasound was for the fibroids. The doctor simply told me not to worry about the gallstones ... no information whatsoever from him about the symptoms, treatment, what foods to avoid, or anything. I wish he would have at least taken the time to hand me a pamphlet or something. I wouldn't have had the foggiest idea of what was causing my night-time attacks, if I hadn't asked a friend who has gallstones. I'm reluctant to go back to this doctor. The people I have spoken to who have had their gallbladder removed are very happy about it, and say they would do it again in a heartbeat. I feel lucky to have found this list, because I feel that if I can get my system in shape in natural ways and avoid surgery, I will be better off in many ways... thanks to all of you... keep up the good work!
