Flying on an airplane while anemic?

Does anyone know of any problems of air travel for someone who is anemic?

" Hello ,

It has been awhile since we have been in contact. My wife has myeloma and

anemia(7.5) and we will live in Japan. She wants to fly to LA(California) on

March 6 for one week with Delta airlines. We have been given different

information regarding flying with anemia. Do you know what level her hemogloblin

should be in order to fly ? We have contacted Delta in Japan but they are not

very helpful.
