Guest guest
Here's what that short piece on Curcumin claims: " its mechanisms of action include inhibition of several cell signaling pathways at multiple levels, effects on cellular enzymes such as cyclooxygenase and glutathione S-transferases, immuno-modulation and effects on angiogenesis and cell-cell adhesion. Curcumin's ability to affect gene transcription and to induce apoptosis " No scientist here, however, what I read is, 'it inhibits several cell signalling pathways' and after the comma goes on to say, " effects on cellular enzymes blah blah, which are qualified by the earlier word, 'include' which probably means it does all of the things following the word 'include' not necessarily all being inhibited. The operative word here regarding cancer is 'apoptosis'. I'm for cell apoptosis. Joe C.
