Hi, Kim.

I feel sure your message has made many of us on this board feel

grateful. I, for instance, who suffer from chronic

sinusitis/bronchitis, now feel even more grateful that I do not

suffer from something far worse.

Just the other day, I noticed that the lower area of the driveway I

had poured a couple years ago is flaking badly down near the road

from all the salt and chemicals our idiotic government has seen fit

to pour on our roads for the last I don't know how many years.(Not

only is the stuff attrociously destructive, but municipalities must,

I believe, " use it all " each season, or risk " not getting enough " the

following season.)Anyway, I phoned the friend who had poured the

driveway for me, and he was very distressed about the damage, but he

also told me that a mutual friend of ours had lost most of his foot

that morning in a farm machinery accident. Suddenly, the problem of

my flaking driveway faded far into the background...

I take it LDN has not, or would not, bring significant relief with

regard to the arthritis from which you suffer. I am so sorry. But I

CERTAINLY honor and respect you for living a full and highly

contributory life in the face of all the challenges you have! And I

thank you so much for sharing some of the ways you have found to take

you through.
