Yes that is true yet the diffusion of water is dependent on its surface tension. When we talk of water it is not a uniform liquid. Water occurs in clusters of molecules just like a cluster of grapes. So when I say that water is 75 dyne/cm that means that the water is clustering at about 25 to 30 molecules per cluster. That is the reason that the cold water did not wet the potato flakes. At 55 dyne, boiling water is 20 plus molecules per cluster. When you drink negative ion water the clusters are broken to only 3 to 5 molecules per cluster. Remember for water to diffuse across the cell membrane it must be less than 47 dyne, or about 14 or 15 plus molecules per cluster. Think of the advantage of drinking water with such small clusters. You will hydrate cells that are almost universally dehydrated. It is the dehydration of cells that builds up the acid waste inside, that is very difficult to wash away. Having low dyne water is called wetter water and is used extensively in agriculture. The wetter the water surrounding cells allows for very efficient diffusion regardless of the other part of the solute. Hope this helps.
