Things like allowing or not allowing the food/ag industry to sell

cloned animals as food should NOT be decided behind closed doors by the

government and the food industry. Such issues ought to be debated

openly and publicly on TV, IN FRONT OF the PEOPLE who are ultimately

going to be eating cloned animal flesh!

I believe there was a quote posted not long ago that when the

government starts deciding what the people should eat, the people will

be sick.

Amen - its going to get tougher and tougher to find healthy foods to

eat.....

I think we need to know teh farmers or buy as locally as possible so we

arent so removed from knowing whetehr or not we are realy consuming

enfoods!

Meanwhile our FDA is working to BAN all therapuetic dosages in supplements

and herbs! Why is thsi not adding up?

This is so disturbing in so many ways! The last thing I want is for the

government to tell me what kind of food and where it comes from (without

my knowing any of this) that I will eat. Another reason I gave up

eating meats.

Yes we have cloned animals but there are also plant

based foods that are genetically engineered in the

USA. They insert cells that don't occur in plant life

in nature. This has been going on for a long time

now. Examples are corn and soy beans. And there are

many more. Many countries outside the USA have banned

genetically engineered veggies and fruits. There are

many questions concerning the long term use of these

but they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. And then

there are all the additives that are addied to

processed foods. One must be very careful in what

they eat nowadays, especially if one would like to

remain healthy, or regain their health. And I totally

agree that these decisions should not be made without

the input of the citizens, who have to consume the

stuff.
