Guest guest Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 Well If I wanted " my doctor to have something to do with me " (his last meeting with me- suggesting ONLY palliative chemo)as nothing further could be done.....I wouldn't be here now.. So thankfully I WOKE UP and took control. I know now that oncologists only know what their training teaches them so they won't or don't look out of the box. Most cancer patients who follow those paths are not going to survive as shown to me over the past year with others who stayed with their oncologists and all are dead. Thankfully some have the courage to leave their oncologists and look further afield. It is a gamble but you have nothing to lose when told " get your affairs in order " ....
