What Happened in Missouri over the last week

I was in Missouri over the last 7 days or so, being treated for

chronic sinusitis/bronchitis, for whatever remains of lymphoma and

for general over-all health, by a Registered Nurse who retired from

an administrative position at a large hospital and opened her own

practice about a year or two ago. Before that, she actually had an

ALTERNATIVE Clinic in a Mainstream hospital. But the flack she faced

from mainstreamers who objected to what she did got to be too much to

bother with, so she left the hospital for her own practice in a house

she fixed up as an office.

I really do not know what to make of all the things she did, as I had

never experienced any of them before. I also will not know if what

she did worked until a fair amount of time has passed---months I

would say---and for the bronchitis/sinusitis, till next winter has

passed.

This is what happened at her office:

Every morning when I arrived, I was given a " detox " foot bath in one

of the so-called better such devices, the Ionic one. As said,

the amount of " detoxing " that occurred was judged by a " color chart " --

-green for bile, foam for fungus, black for metals, etc. I read a

very plausible explanation for all of what occurs when one's feet are

placed in warm water in which is an electrified metal rod and to

which salt has been added. I was very skeptical of the baths, but

they were a necessary part of the treatment, so it was do them or not

take the treatment at all.

After about 25 minutes of the foot bath, during which time

a " magnetic pulser " was placed beneath my armpits to " break up

congested lymph and to increase lymphatic flow, " I was put in a room

on a table, where a " bio-feedback device " was attached to my

forehead, wrists and ankles, so that the RN could " take readings " on

the state of all different parts of my body. The RN's assistant told

me the device, also known as a " scio machine, " could take up to 8,800

different readings.

Also while I was on the table, my feet were slathered with magnesium

cream and wrapped in warm wash cloths with aluminum foil over all to

keep in the heat. That certainly felt good.

The RN took several readings and then placed a pair of glasses over

my eyes that flashed a blue light(supposed to be " calming. " ) She also

put a clip on each ear that gave me tiny shocks, which was supposed

to be an acupuncture type modality. She placed headphones over my

ears and played music that was supposed to " balance the hemispheres

of my brain. "

Along with all of that came the " heaviest " part of the treatment: She

gave me intravenous vitamin C, about 50 grams, mixed with minerals

and perhaps some other stuff. The infusion is known as a " Myer's

Cocktail. "

I was also given about 10 different bottles of supplements---enzymes,

lymphatic stimulators, etc.

There were lots of good smells put on my body and also placed around

the office. It was a lot more fun than a mainstream office.

1) the Sino-bronchial syndrome, which was especially bad this year

2) having to get up to go to the bathroom 2-5 times nightly

3) some patches of psoriasis on my scalp and eyebrows

4) terrible itching on my feet every couple of months

5) the lymphoma, which is in remission, but apparently not cured

Did the treatments do anything for me?

Only time will tell.

It did seem as if my trips to the bathroom decreased, and it did feel

as if the bronchial coughing diminished very considerably.

But long-term will tell the story.

Best wishes,

Elliot
