Guest guest
Kindred Get in touch with Gammill on this list. I know he has experience with it. It normally produces good results with primary liver tumers aka malignent hepatoma. I think it produces less impressive results with other tumers or metestases from other cancers. hepatomas tumers' core tissue tend to be softer...hence the ethyl alchohol's is better absorbed and distributed within them. Not quite sure how well it works with thyroid cancer (googeling it is not enough). Perhaps would know. Gubi [ ] Percutaneous Ethanol Injection for Thyroid Cancers Anybody have any experience/knowledge of this? ETHANOL???? Well, I guess it's probably not worse than Radioactive Iodine. -Kindred
Guest guest
I would be very reluctant to inject alcohol into the thyroid mass. There is risk of damaging the parathyroids and especially of damaging the recurrent nerve. It can be difficult to control where the alcohol goes; it can kill all tissues. Damage to the recurrent nerve could make you hoarse for the rest of your life. At 04:46 AM 6/30/2009, you wrote: >Kindred > >Get in touch with Gammill on this list. Guest guest
Via googling - the good results were reported in injecting lymph nodes with thyroid cancer.
