Guest guest
Fasting to treat cancer is probably best addressed by looking at the evidence. The problem is that the evidence seems inconsistent. There are many cases of cancer that have been effectively treated by fasting and by starvation type diets, yet on the other hand, other cancer patients -- especially those with cachexia -- have little or no control over their cancer when attempting the starvation-type protocols. Statistically, those patients who support their nutrition do fare better. You always want to use the right tool for the right job. Fasting is probably the best first choice of treatment if you are so poor you have to sleep under the bridge. I have one fellow who has been very successful at treating his lung cancer relying soley on diet, if you call it that. He picks at fresh corn all day. This is his own doing and not my recommendation. I suspect that he has mild pellagra because of the lack of nixtamalization of the corn. I have looked at pellagra and cancer, and again the evidence is mixed. It is most irksome that there are so few easy answers in cancer. Most questions take decades to resolve, and even then they are subject to review. I know of only one iron-clad rule of cancer: Anything and everything you can state about cancer in only a few words is wrong. This you can take to the bank. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Randall Crossley Sent: Saturday, March 12, 2011 10:32 PM Subject: Re: [ ] cancer diets for diabetics I dont believe fasting works when we have cancer ...
