Guest guest
Pearl, sorry about the dilemma that you are in right now. I still have my GB, but I've seen others on the list do the cleanse with the GBs out and pass stones. You may try this. Let us know how it works. Guest guest
Hi, I am new on this list I already have had my GB out. I had it out in March .Key hole procedure. I tried to rid myself of the stones naturally, but they were calcified and I had an awful time. I went to have the surgery because I just couldn't bare the pain any longer. It was against my better judgement...and I am paying for it right now. I am having a terrible time of it. My liver enzymes have gone back up, I get gall bladder attacks only lighter pain and short lived. I know the GB is gone, but it feels the same. I have diahreaha (sp ) and cannot eat much. I get waves of nautiouness ( sp ).Tomorrow I go for a sonogram to see if there was a stone left behind. My question is this. If there is a stone in the duct of the liver, can I pass this in a natural way? I need all the help I can get...I am so miserable! Guest guest
There are people on this list who have passed them after surgery. A few months ago there was a post about taking calcium for the diarrhea. Do a search in the archives to see if you can find it. Good luck. Pearl (NY) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pearl; We can certainly appreciate what you mean by pain and it must be all the more frustrating considering that you had counted on a medical professional to help you be alleviated of that pain. The symptoms you've noted certainly connote a stone being lodged somewhere in a bile duct and it would be great to not have had this happen. Like already noted others have had the same types of problems after having had a gallbladder removed, however, flushing has improved their situation and certainly can work for you too. Noone should have to live with this type of pain. I would suggest you start doing castor oil packs to help get essential fatty acids to the liver for a better bile to be produce and for comforting the area with heat. http://www.curezone.com/cures/castoroil.html Along with that making sure your diet is low in saturated fats, including the good type for the time being, such as avocados, can reduce the amount of pressure you're feeling. However eating more foods that contain the essential fatty acids of the omega 3 grouping will help to produce a better and thinner bile that will certainly help any flush you may decide to do. If your doctor had educated you regarding the liver and gallbladders synergetic relationship you would have likely learned that there are varying qualities of bile that can be produced in relationship to the available cholesterol made from essential fatty acids. That bit of information is never too late to know as long as you're not noting your name in an obituary column. Quality bile production is very important to those having gallbladder and liver problems yet its importance doesn't seem to be expressed enough by the medical community. It is most likely because of a poor quality bile that stones are being produced in our bodies. This is why we want to make sure that what we eat is as liver friendly as possible. The Kim program from NIH seems to pretty well help us see what food combinations will work best for that production. The program isn't too easy to understand how to work it but it will help some to understand some food groupings for getting more of the omega 3 variety of essential fatty acids in the body. You can download the free KIM program from this page and the lectures are fairly interesting. http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/ Some things for you to do now are to use the castor oil pack, stop eating and drinking milk products, avoid all types of processed foods, and avoid hydrogenated oils and animal fats. Doing these few things will certainly go a long way towards recovery. The problem with doing this is giving up on the past bad habits. We certainly hope that you can get back to painless living and being able to enjoy life once again. Dale
