Ok, all you ionic multivitamin information genius junkies out there.

I've been doing well on good old Dr. Wallach's plant derived vitamins

and minerals but would like to try some ionic vitamins and minerals.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

, the word ionic is nowadays used as a sizzle word to enhance

marketing. The body usually finds a redox way to assure that a mineral or

vitamin is in a useable state. There is an evolutionary concordance of

enzymes and catalysts. These lower the activation energies of biochemical

reactions so that these reactions can take place at body temperature and

compartment pH.

As we age we often lose optimal functionality of some of these enzymes -

often proteins with a mineral component. The key then is to use minerals

and trace minerals to perform the same functions, that is to utilize a

vestigial back-up system. The key to use this enzyme-catalyst concordance

effectively is to use some of the pertinent minerals and trace minerals

throughout the day as the body does a poor job of storing any minerals that

are not protein bound.

Thank you. Sizzle is right. I haven't studied ionic minerals and

vitamins. Like I said, I have taken plant derived minerals from Dr.

Wallach for years and seem to be doing fine. Is there a particular

brand of multi mineral/vitamin that you recommend? What do you take?

Nano size is also a sizzle word these days I notice.

Thanks in advance.

Most vitamins and minerals are produced by very few pharmaceutical companies

and these products tend to be very pure. Many small companies go to the

same wholesalers and distributors, but for the retail market they have to

have some value-added rationale, so they claim extra purity or denigrate

their competitor's products, or sell only to " professionals, " or ???

If you have time on your hands and money is an issue, then you might buy

bulk and then cap many of the supplements yourself. With a Cap-M-Quik rack

which probably costs only $20 or so you can cap 50 of the 00 ( " double

ought " ) caps at a time.

There is a certain satisfaction in taking charge of your own pharmaceutical

economics. It can start with capping, then on to formulations, then to

extractions of herbs, and perhaps even synthesis. I know on this group

there is a certain bias such that synthesis is considered a bit unholy, but

just consider that one's own body synthesizes zillions of biochemical

correctives per second which would make it the biggest sinner of all.

Ok, I agree with you. Would you mind sharing who you buy from and what

you buy. I think it would be helpful to me and to the group. I make my

own herbal capsules now on a small scale, a few basic fresh herbs. If

you don't want to share publicly, reply in private, that would work for

me.

Thanks in advance

, I usually buy by the drum as I have established accounts.

For small amounts say 1-5 kilos you just Google " herbs " and " bulk " or

" suppliers " or similar search terms. There are many such providers.

There are a couple of suppliers of herbs and other botanicals and the one I

have used is Pacific Botanicals. Check them out because I have never been

disappointed working with them.

Thanks Joe, I'll check them out. For me it is all about cellular

respiration and getting nutrients into the cells. It doesn't matter if

you eat an elephant, if nutrition doesn't enter the cells, it is a net

loss for the day and over a few years the immune system weakens and we

get sick with cancer like me for example.

Joe

Just checked them out. Unfortunately they don't do vitamins and

minerals. Guess I might just stick with good old Dr. Wallach's plant

derived minerals. All the pain in my body goes away when I take his

full blow program 90 nutrient program, pig pack plus. I hate it that

he only markets through a MLM.
