Guest guest
Marji, There have been many wonderful books that " blow the lid off " all the faults of conventional medicine and the many successes in natural strategies. When the relentless pursuit of money is the driving force behind conventional treatments for chronic/serious ailments things will change only from one form of bad to another form of bad. The only solution is the painstaking process of learning to protect oneself and one's family. We have a strong and very American tradition that was developed by Thomson during the first half of the 1800's. This was ian Botanic Medicine and utilized physical and herbal strategies for sweating and detoxification along with select herbs for many conditions. It was extremely popular among the common man and a source of incredible annoyance to the worthless conventional practitioners of the time. It was Thomson's mission to make every farmer the doctor for his own family and he had millions of followers. I have a collection of all his writings and of those of his colleagues which I am in the process of photocopying to place on a website. Of course 200 year old strategies are not the last word in healing but the body of work is extremely inspirational and makes for delightful erudite reading.
