Guest guest
Hey everyone, I've been listening to so much about the healthcare reform that is being discussed right now. I'm really curious how you guys feel about the 'limitations on unnecessary testing.' Now, I'm not trying to get into a political discussion ... I don't really care what your opinion of our President is. But, I don't do CT scans ... I do MRIs and since I'm not doing, and won't consider, conventional chemo, I wonder if I'll ever be approved for an MRI again. I know that conventional oncs typically won't order tests if it won't make any difference in treatment options. Well, it certainly makes a difference in OUR treatment options, because there are so very many tools available to us. But if we're not buying what they're selling, then no matter WHAT that test showed, it wouldn't make any conventional difference in treatment options. What do you guys think? Will we 'non-conformists' be cut off from testing? xxoo
