Pet Scans

Recently my CA-125 test came back as 'elevated'. It's 48. Also I've been

diagnosed anemic and am tired all the time. The docs scheduled a vaginal

ultrasound and a CT scan. I did the ultrasound and it came back 'clear'. I'm

reluctant to do the CT scan as the radiation equivalent is that of 500 x-rays.

Is a PET scan better or does it also have side effects?

Thanks,

Rose

You should get a PET scan to see if those tumors are simply dead cells. Does

everyone here get PET scans? More accurate than CT- no need to biopsy either.
