I have to ask, if I do the cleanse, can a stone get stuck in the duct? Can I do

this without the fear of running into trouble? I know with the gall bladder this

can happen. I am anxious to get started. Yesterday I Had 2 attacks.

Can I do this without a Doctors supervision?

Thanks,

Pearl

Pearl;

Considering the fact that you're already having pain chances are pretty good

that you already have a stone stuck in a duct. What you're going to be

attempting is to move that stone like you would a clog in a drain using water

where here it will be with the use of some extra bile pressure.

You could certainly ask your doctor to supervise but I can't think of too many

that would. They simply don't believe it works. This is one doctor that contrary

to what my doctor said will argue with success.

Dale,

I cannot access the site you sent in.

Please tell me what you mean by water pressure. I have no idea how to do

this or where to start. Suppose the stones are larger then the duct

opening? Can this happen? I am afraid I will end up in the hospital.

If you were not able to access the websites then it may be that your email

service has put it to two lines of the message. If that's the case then copy and

paste the rest of the URL to the address that it attempts to take you to and

then hit the enter key, or, if you have it in the browser, the GO button by the

URL window.

What I mean by water pressure is simply if you put a marble in a hose at the

supply end and then turned on the water supply, if the marble was able to fit

the hose it would be coming out the other end in a short lenth of time.

The same will occur with a stone in a bile duct because of the preassure behind

it from the bile pushing it through. It isn't something about which to worry

because if you already have a stuck stone then going to the hospital would

already be your option. It's stuck now so what would be any differenet with

getting it to pass the rest of the way? Other than going to the hospital and

them using a basket to go in and get it out.

What's a basket? It's a special wire that is used to extract stones. If you can,

take note of the pictures on these sites. Isn't it amazing that the doctor never

noted this inforamtion before removing your gallbladder.

Now, if they can do this proceedure now then it could have been done before this

and you could have been put on a diet to regiment your intake of various fats.

The chance of you getting another stone could have been reduced considerablely

by diet alone.

Susie has pretty well explained what epsom salts does for the body's cells, and

the bile ducts, in that It will help to make it more elastic. The blood vessals

and ducts of the human body are very elastic unlike what we often think of in a

static thinking mode that it is one size and stays that size.

Keep in mind that you are likely having pain at the present time because of a

stuck stone, and if that's the case you have two choices to make. One is to get

to the hospital now and the other is to attempt to flush the stone through the

bile duct. Some bile must be getting by the stone or the whites of your eyes

would be starting to turn colors and the pain would never subside.

If size is an issue I have posted a few of my own stones on the file upload of

this group's Files that shows one at or larger than 3/4 of and inch in diameter.

Considering the fact that the common bile duct is around 4 mm and this is around

17 mm I would say the bile duct is a very elasitc part in the body.

Is this a risky procedure? My Doc told me not many in the area know how to do

this.I wonder if they can look into the entire liver like this and get all

the stones out?

Pearl,

I had the ERCP on Monday. They gave me general anesthesia, although I think

sometimes they semi knock someone out, depending on what they're doing. I'd

rather be knocked out.

All I know is is that the doctor swept the bile ducts 5 times for those

stone(s). Apparently I had already passed one stone because my jaundice stopped

Sat. afternoon and I started turning back my normal color. It took a couple of

days for all the bile to leave my system and especially for my urine to turn

back yellow instead of looking like dark tea.

Anyway, the doctor looked 5 times but couldn't find any stone. So he told

someone to hook up the x-ray and found the one stone that way. He went to the

stone and it popped loose. All I know about the procedure is that it is

extremely tedious. My husband said that he was wipped out afterwards because of

the

back it's tedious. You need a good GI doctor to do it even if you have to go

to a larger city to get it done. I went to Dallas. I don't live there, but

live near a small town that has a very small hospital. You can probably

search the Internet to see how it's done. I remember something about a little

wire brush or something like that. Perhaps that's why he said he swept.

My doctor told me that if they found a liver stone on the sonogram they would

go down my throat ( forgot the name of the test ) and down into the liver to

get it out. This is a new procedure and not many know how to do this.

Anyone ever hear of this?

Pearl,

This is why I had the ERCP because of the sonogram showing the two stones,

which one I apparently passed. They went down my throat.

Oh, BTW, my throat was extremely sore after that. I think I'm getting a

little cold.
